Replaced my original one from 1995 and it fit and works like a charm.

Take your time removing cartridge with neddle nose pliers and clean inside of housing of any scale and debris. This hard to find Pfister cartridge avoided mess and expense of replacing complete single handle controller

The Price Pfister 974-491 Faucet Cartridge was the exact part I was looking for. My shower was dripping for months, driving everyone crazy. I searched all the plumbing places in my area, and could not find the part. I went to the internet and Amazon came up, I found the part and order it. It arrived ontime, so I removed the old cartridge and replaced it with the new. Problem solved. There is not much to review. It is a one piece unit. You take the old out put the new in.

Similar replacement as the original part to replace, good to know that there are spare parts to replace the defective shower parts. As of today working fine and properly.
