Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless (Renewed)

We are a household that loves our orange juice fresh squeezed...it's a carryover from having lived in Florida, I guess. I have a vintage juicer that involves taking out an appliance that weighs a ton and cranking a juicing head down on a platform that squeezes the oranges. It gets most of the juice out of an orange, but it's a pain in the butt to use, is huge (won't fit under my cabinets for storage on the counter) and weighs too much to keep pulling out of the closet. I've tried a couple of other juicers and found that they either don't juice very well, or they jump around on the counter, or there is no way to adjust the amount of pulp in the juice. And then I saw this juicer and decided to try one ore time to find a replacement for Mr. Bulky Juicer. I am so happy that I did. This is a wonderful juicer. First, it gets ALL the juice out of an orange. If it took any more out of the orange it would be cutting into the pith...but it doesn't. I love my juice pulpy. My kids don't. With a twist of my wrist, I get pulp and they don't. There are actually 3 pulp settings. It's a simplistic pulp solution, but it works really well. I also have a hand juicer I use whenever an recipe calls for fresh lemon or lime juice. My old juicer couldn't accommodate the smaller fruit. This one does. My old juicer also couldn't accommodate a larger grapefruit. This one can. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who juices any type of citrus. It doesn't have a gazillion attachments. It just is simple and does the job.One more thing. I noticed that the seller of this juicer is Beach Camera. Over the years, I've had many occasions to buy things from this company and have never had anything but a smooth, satisfactory transaction. I've purchased items like this and I've purchased high end cameras and lenses from them. If I have a choice between any other vendor and Beach, I always choose Beach. I have found, on the occasions where I've had to contact them about one thing or another, that their customer service is excellent and their sales people courteous and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong buying from them.

It's a pretty good machine, but there are better options out there. I dont know specific models but I know there are good ones made in Japan. This is effective though, if you dont mind cleaning it out after every 3 or 4 fruits to keep it flowing. It is not as powerful as I would like, but it's not especially weak either. It does the job but I expected more from Cuisinart. My expectations were for a flawless and excellent machine, but I just got a good one instead. I would suggest the Alessi but I have not personally tried it and the price is ridiculous, so this is probably a very good bet. If I find the other Japanese model that I like I will update the review. Overall very good but something is lacking. I really like that this will rotate in the other direction if it senses friction, it's a fun machine.

This is the best citrus juicer I have ever had. I use fresh citrus, particularly lemons and limes, in making sauces, marinades and dressings. It does all of the heavy lifting. The reamer on this juicer goes forward and backward easily and has a super-spin mode with the lid on so that no juice goes to waste. The strainer is adjustable so that you can choose between lots of pulp, some pulp and very little to no pulp, which is a great option depending on what you are making. The machine is heavy enough that it stays put on the counter when in use, and has a spout with two positions, level and down. When level, it stops dripping juice, which is useful when emptying the juice container between juicings. It also cleans up easily. I wish I had known of this juicer sooner. The hand juicers are great for one or two pieces of fruit, but this is perfect for anything more, making life easier on one's hands and wrists. The motor is strong, and has a lot of juice too! This juicer now lives on my kitchen counter and I use it almost daily.

We used to have a cheaper juicer which we used for a lot of lemons to put in salads. I was going to order a new one, when I noticed this one for only a little more money, and it looked very good and expensive. This one has a big piece to put the fruit upon, and it's not so good for,the small ones. I also see marks on it after washing by hand and by dishwasher. So far, I think the cheaper one was better. Maybe with time I'll become more used to this one.

This is a nice juicer. The pulp controller isn't perfect for someone who really loves pulp, but it's nice that it's adjustable. The juicer does a great job of getting every drop of juice. Not too big or too noisy.

This is the reason my husband makes me fresh lemonade and orange juice every day. It makes mojitos a snap. It makes key lime pie a breeze. It's ridiculously easy to use and clean, and it takes up less space than our toaster. You don't think you need it... but you do.

It is good.. As of now no repairs. I am using it daily. Easy to clean. I like it.

I received the product and it looked like new. Made room on my counter for to stay and plugged it in and nothing not even a peep. It seems like no one certified this one because it didn't work new off the line and when bought back to repair or what ever they do at cuisinart wasn't done and it was sent out again to me with the same issues. And to add salt to my already existing wound I can't even get the replacement I want. Nope Not Happy.......
