This book offers a lot of insight into Filipino culture and traditions. Everything in this book was fascinating, and gave me a much greater appreciation for Filipino customs.I highly recommend this book, especially if you are trying to learn a Filipino language. While the book has little to offer in terms of vocabulary (which is exclusively Tagalog vocabulary), it’s important to understand how Filipinos interact with each other in order to effectively communicate with them.Massive thanks to the authors.

Great book if you’re looking to emerge into culture of Filipino and get to know more about country and customs of it

The whole book uses facts to educate and enlighten one to the Philippean Culture . It still remains interesting and entertaining in style. I like the videos as previews of different areas but when you see a mom and her kids driving through flooded roads to get attention it's too much!

Excellent book and an excellent series. I currently live in the Philippines and have been going to Asia and SE Asia for over 40 years. I really like this entire series and have used them as part of my pre-trip planning (when they are available) for any of the countries that I visit. I'm past 70 countries visited now and these books have never disappointed. Though I was already very familiar with Filipino culture I still vastly enjoyed this book and it would be an exceptional primer for someone planning their first trip or just trying to get to understand Filipinos. With the huge diaspora of Filipinos in the U.S., and around the world, this book will certainly assist you in understanding and interacting with them. Highly recommended, as are all of the books in this series. Great job Culture Smart!

Get this book if you want to understand Filipinos, their culture, and their way of life. My overall understanding of the country improved greatly, and there are many tips and insights offered on how to get along.
