Love these!
We bought these for my autistic son as we were tired of being stuck with velcro shoes that didn't stay shut after a while and usually didn't have full rubber toes (a must for our toe dragging sensory kid). We've done PT/OT, but shoe tying is just one of many things that continues to elude him.I held off on making a review, but now that we've just transferred them to his second pair of lace-up shoes, I can say that we love them! No more complaints from him or the school that they can't keep his shoes tied. They slip on easily in the morning and are just as easy to get off when he gets home. They stay closed for recess and gym class and have even made it through a few games of soccer. We've done the shoes with built in zippers, but the zippers would get stuck if they got too dirty - not an issue with these magnets! The first time they went on was a little work to figure them out, but I'll happily trade that over daily morning struggles to get shoes on or trying to pick knots out of his laces because someone at school wanted to make sure they'd stay on.There's lots of fun colors to choose from. We went with the teal because they matched his last pair of shoes, but they pop on his new shoes, too (black with red laces). Next time I see them on sale, I'll probably add a black pair as well so that they'll match more shoes.Definitely a must if you have kiddos (or even adults) that struggle with laces for some reason, but you don't want to limit what choices they have in shoes.

Durable, user-friendly, fun
My son has mild special needs. He generally passes as typical, and is in most ways, but certian processes just don't stick well in his head. Shoe-tying is one of them. He's good at figuring it out as he goes, but he has yet to just tie them on autopilot, you know, just going on muscle memory in a few seconds flat. He's almost eleven, and devices like this provide perfect little accomodations to help him keep blending in with his peers pretty seamlessly and keeping up with the crowd. Thanks to things like these, he doesn't have to fumble with laces, and isn't limited to the one or two pairs of tennis shoes in the store in his size (never mind how actually well- built or likeable they are; with these, we can pick any tennis shoe (or any shoe that typically laces for that matter), and just add these. Before, we'd had those rubbery (silicone?) faux laces, which worked nicely, but eventually fell apart whilst attempting to transfer them to their third pair of shoes. I mean, we got our money's worth with them, not bad, but when we needed something new, we wanted to try these because they looked a little more durable for the long term, and my son loved how fun and novel they looked. I read over and over that the magnets are indeed dependably strong. As I ordered them, I hoped it was true. My son is really active and loves distance running, and I sure hoped these would hold up during his races without flying open. Now that he's had them for awhile, I'll add to the crowd in saying that they indeed are very strong, very dependable magnets. Really. Days after they arrived, my son got to test them out while taking on a 5k race he'd been looking forward to. They held up perfectly. They're easy to operate (twist a bit to pop them right open, and once they snap shut, they're definetly staying shut for ya). They have yet to ever fly ooen on him unexpectedly, and they keep his shoes on snugly. As far as being fun amd cool, my son says these were a hit with his 5th grade class; they were really impressed with them and kida gathered around to have turns getting a good look with their little fingers, quite the cool novelty. Also, I might add that we love the variety of colors available. Teal is his favorite, which you have (maybe you call it turquoise...either way, you have the color he likes best), so he was happy for the variety of choices, which meant he could pizzaz his shoes up with that spash of his very, very favorite color, mo compromising. When you're a kid, you know, accessorizing in your favorite color makes even mundane things like shoes more fun. He loves them, and I love they live up to the dependability I hoped to see in them.As a note, I got him the middle stregnth ones. They're easy enough for his small hands, while still being quite hearty enough to withstand his high - energy activity level and distance running hobby. They do take a bit of sit-down time to install them, amd a bit of checking uopon the foot make sure theyre just right, but it's not difficult at all, and once they're in, they're quite securely in place, no having to tinker or adjust later. I think they'll tramsfer to new shoes nicely when the time comes.

Foot surgery help
Bought these for my mother-in-law after she had foot surgery. She said they were fantastic and incredibly helpful.

Great find!
These have been a great addition for my 90 year old mother. Not only is there the ease of getting "opening" and "closing the shoe, but the opening is much wider than you would have from just loosening the shoe laces. This is a game changer. Oh, and if you are wondering, 1 is plenty of strength for a senior adult.

Love them!
The media could not be loaded. My daughter is obsessed with hello kitty so when she picked out these shoes, I could hardly say no. Even though she's autistic and can't tie her shoes. I've tried to teach her plenty of times. She insists she knows but it isn't quite right. I needed an easier solution than just tying her shoes for her every time. I couldn't expect her teachers to do it every time either. She's nearly 10. But I didn't want her to be left out and be forced to continue to wear the limited velcro shoes available in her size. So I searched around for a solution. I found these zubits and decided to give them a try. They were pretty easy to install. The magnet is strong but based on the instructions, I feel like she can easily undo them by herself. The pink matches her shoes perfectly without sticking out. We haven't tried them on her yet but once she gets home we will finish adjusting them and practice opening them. So far I think they are going to be perfect.
