Numbers small and can be hard to read
Hard to tell what fractions of 32nds the tread is since the scale is so small.

Excellent Gauge
Most, if not all, of the gauges in the market have wings that touch both sides of the tread cavity. This is a non-starter. A good gauge will allow only one side. Look at photo.

Works extremely well - simple but superior design
Very happy with this gauge; simple, failproof design, easy to use, easy to read, can't mechanically fail so will last more or less forever.

Very low quality
Price was acceptable and delivery time was good. That is all that can be said that is positive. Very low quality product. Rulers were both bent on arrival rendering both tools unusable. Poor fit and finish. This would be an okay tool if you are a back yard mechanic that does not have to rely on them on a daily basis. I can not vouch for the accuracy due to the tool being unusable. Look elsewhere for a tread depth gauge.
