.com Review Who Reads Teen Vogue? Teen Vogue is a fashion magazine for teenagers who are passionate about style, the fashion industry, beauty, health, and entertainment news. Published ten times a year, it represents the best in teen fashion through gorgeous photography, world-class styling, access to the fashion industry's brightest stars, and breaking news about health and family issues, as well as beauty tips. The Teen Vogue reader is a young woman engaged with life through style, education, giving back (as seen in the regular Charity page), and an interest in beauty and health. Its most ardent readers even go so far as buying two copies of the magazine each month -- one for ripping out pages to paste on their walls and in their inspiration boards, and one to read and save forever as part of their "style library." What You Can Expect in Each Issue: Talking Fashion: These image-driven pages are filled with paparazzi and backstage photos of the brightest stars in the Teen Vogue orbit, from model Agyness Deyn and Kate Bosworth to Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Beauty Blogger: Ever wonder what it'd be like to visit the Chanel headquarters in Paris? Hang out with Valentino at a sprawling villa in Italy? Or take surfing lessons from a thirteen-year-old pro surfer on the coast of California? That's the kind of dish you'll getplus backstage secrets and hair and makeup how-tosin this monthly dispatch from the front lines of the beauty industry. View: The latest news about the fashion industry, including exclusive stories about the season's must-have accessories, studio visits with fashion designers, "Fashion Crisis" advice, and tons of personal-style stories about "real girls" and Teen Vogue readers. PATA (People Are Talking About): The entertainment section talks about our favorite movies, music, gadgets, and actors. Think Ali Lohan dishing on her new reality show, style tips from Pete Wentz, and indie music stars Vampire Weekend carousing around Paris. Features: Everything that is published in Teen Vogue is filtered through the lens of fashion and style. Recent cover subjects include "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere, Blake Lively from "Gossip Girl," Ellen Page from "Juno", and Rihanna. Past Issues: Contributors: Contributors are culture- and style-obsessed writers and editors who know the scoop on fashion, music and movies way before the rest of the world. They're experts at spotting trends that teens will want to wear every season, and they cover health topics and beauty secrets that matter to our readers. Magazine Layout: An intensely visual magazine, Teen Vogue features modern, vibrant fashion stories photographed by some of the best photographers in the world, including Bruce Weber, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort and David Bailey. They travel across the world and back to locations that imbue our stories with a sense of adventure, sophistication and chic originality. At the same time, it also prides itself on delivering breaking news about health and relationship trends, as well as offering advice about breaking into the fashion industry as a whole. Comparisons to Other Magazines: Teen Vogue touches on relationships here and there, sure, but its reason d'etre is style, and to that end, it covers fashion news, travel around the world to photograph the coolest clothes in exotic settings (China, India, the Caribbean... the list goes on!), and deliver the most amazing new music and movies, college reports, and career advice instead of dispensing boy advice, quizzes, and embarrassing stories. Advertising: There is a close synergy between the advertisers in Teen Vogue, the actual content of the magazine, and the brands that readers love. It's basically seamless -- and driven by fashion at both the high end as well as more affordable sportswear and action brands. Each issue features an "In This Issue" section, which lists all fashion credits from our major stories, as well as URLs and phone numbers that allow readers to contact the companies. Teen Vogue's advertising is wholly relevant and targeted toward the fashion-forward, culture- and beauty-obsessed teen.

Very pleased.
I absolutely love fashion and my daughter is following in my footsteps so I decided to buy Teen Vogue for us to read together. I also bought it for us to cut up for collages. When I ordered I was given a shipping date of November but to my surprise I received the first issue today (which is mid-September). I did get a back issue (August) but as we have not bought that copy I am very happy with it and extremely pleased with the rapid shipping. As for the magazine's contents, I obviously have not had time to give a true review from that angle but we did enjoy issue #1 and I will continue to update throughout our 2 year subscription. First impression has been good! :)August 2014 issue notes: Kesha is on the cover, I'm not very interested in her. Love how the ads are mostly for products teens could actually afford. The stories and models seem appropriate for me to read with my daughter. Aside from the rape article. She is only seven so we will save that for a later time. Collage wise, I think we have a lot to work with in here.Yesterday we received our free gift with purchase bag. It was very generic but super cute. The wristlets is the perfect size for my daughter.

Disappointing - Review from an actual teenager
I ordered this magazine from amazon half a year ago and my subscription started this January. Since then, I have been constantly disappointed by the quality of the articles that TeenVogue contains. Every time the magazine features a celebrity and writes about them, they always say "She may live a glamorous lifestyle, but she's just like you." This concept is recurring in every issue and is absolutely boring to read about. Their articles are also immensely shallow and repetitive and reading them reminds me a bit of reading my own writing. They may be trying to appeal more to the teen audience, but it is definitely a turn off for me. The number of appearances of the unnecessary form of "like" is cringe-worthy. The articles written are also very cheesy and cliche, and never provide me with any information that I did not already know. Also, I don't like how small the magazine is, but this cancels out with the cheap price. However, I give this magazine two stars for the plastic bag it comes in. The magazine comes to my house clean and protected. Also, it has some pretty pictures. I'll probably use the magazines to cut up and make collages since none of them have any better use anyway. If you are a fifteen year old like me and are thinking about getting a fashion magazine, I believe that it's better to get ELLE and skip over the risqué parts than to get TeenVogue.

Great content at an unheard-of price!
Teen Vogue has really been stepping up its game recently. Lots of quality reporting and thoughtful feature pieces, especially ones that it's important for smart teens of today to be able to see. When I was actually in its target demographic (ostensibly teens) teen vogue had a very "snobby" image and was known largely for overly stylized spreads of clothes that only a fantastically rich person could afford, definitely not articles about birth control and LQBGT+ issues. (Yes, there are still plenty of stylized fashion spreads, but now they at least feature stuff that's more accessible to wide audiences!) The low price of this subscription is also pretty much an unheard of deal. Glad I stumbled across this offer!

Perfect teenage girl gift
We gave this to my boyfriend's 12-yr-old niece (who has every imaginable tech toy someone could have!) for Christmas this year and it was the perfect gift! She's just coming into her own now and has lots of curiousity about make-up, clothes, accessories, etc. This mag helps her figure some of that stuff out on her own without the influence of her friends or worse yet, parents---yuck! It's so cute how excited she gets when her mag comes in the mail! She's like a mini-me of an adult getting their People.

A sense of style for the young!
Teen Vogue is lovely to look at, fun to read, and will inspire teens to dream of the world of high fashion. This is most certainly not a bad thing. While the girls who read Teen Vogue might still shop in Wal-Mart or Target, they can look at those fashions with a more trained eye from seeing the gorgeous fashions that fill the pages of this magazine! If it is true that we can become what we behold, we might as well behold that which is beautiful -- even if it is pricey! The articles are also well-done. This is an excellent gift for the teen in your family! Love it!

Good writing overall
Not very much to read, but it's still earlier in the year. The issues tend to fatten up as the year goes by. Good writing, but I think it's a bit young for me. I wish regular Vogue did more think pieces as I felt the need to branch to the teen version after it's great reviews. Overall I don't regret my subscription but I will probably gift the issues to a teen center or something.

avant garde
This magazine has fashion that is rather high-end and expensive. It's sort of interesting, but I find myself going, "Okay, what about this outfit could I actually wear to school?"Other magazines distill high end fashion FOR you, and give you trends in wearable ways. Not this one.I won't renew the subscription.Still, if you're really looking for the most cutting edge fashion, and if that's your passion, then this magazine will be good for you

I was quite disappointed to get the first issue and find it full ...
I was looking forward to getting this for my daughter after seeing so many positive and insightful articles online regarding the current political climate. I was quite disappointed to get the first issue and find it full of nothing but vapid advertisements and articles about sex. While they were appropriate for an older teen, I would not recommend this for anyone under the age of 16 or so. I threw out the first issue without giving it to my 14 year old.Update: I've now received 3 in the mail and every one has gone into the trash. I decided to update my review after once again seeing a link online to a great Teen Vogue article about the psychology of FOX News viewers. Don't be fooled like I was into thinking the print publication is anything like this. It is literally all vapid advertisements with insanely slender perfect people and articles on sex in every single issue.
