Good for cleaning pine tree needles off mobile home awnings
Used this Gutter Getter set along with other tools (hoe, rake with small plastic head) to clean the 10-foot deep awning on my mom's mobile home...let's see, 10 feet X 35 ribs equates to about 350 feet of gutters- on the BACK awning. It hadn't been done for at least 7 years. Despite multiple offers, she seldom allows anyone to help but is over 80 now, so she allowed it.First I removed the thick mat of pine needles, by reaching the hoe out as far as possible and dropping the end repeatedly along the mat to make a long cut, then rolled up sections like sod and maneuvered the rolls off the edge.Next I used my own small-headed rake then the Gutter Getter bent arrow shaped scraper (kind of like a claw) to pull the pine cones, dirt and little seedlike tree fallout down each little trough toward the awning edge so I could scoop it all out (love the strong, lightweight, narrow Gutter Getter scoop). All while up on a ladder, of course. There were 9 big lawn litter bags of needles and stuff to haul away.We had a week of perfect weather in the 60's and got the back awning done in 3 afternoon sessions, hopefully the weather holds until we can get the front awning done as well (hey, give me a break, I'm 65! 😃)

Does the job quite well.
I found this to be a very useful tool to clean out gutter leaves. It did not come apart on me. It was light and the head was the right size to scrap the leaves and get under the gutter holding braces. The hook to hang it off the gutter when not in use is thoughtful. Once you get the hang of it you will move your ladder a lot less. I was skeptical in ordering as I dread gutter cleaning and I have a garage full of hacks, wire hangers and broom sticks through the years but I was quite surprised. It’s a very handy tool. The gutter scoop however was useless and clumsy. Just grab the leaves with a gloved hand.

Rake good, scoop meh
I didn't find the gutter scoop to work well compared to just using my hands. The rake however works well and is well worth the money since you don't need to move your ladder around quite as much. I'd recommend just buying the rake, available separately, and an extension pole (available separately, if you don't have one). Also, I did see this kit available at Lowe's for a few dollars cheaper, so you might want to check at your local hardware store before buying from Amazon in this case (how often does that happen?).

Does the job
For the most part, does the job. The longer pole allows you to stay in one place on the ladder longer so you can loosen up all the muck in the gutters. However - you still need to keep moving the ladder in order to shovel and scoop all the goop out of your gutters. Kind of pointless having a long pole doesn't it??!! The shovel is a bit flimsy. If you are scooping lighter material, no problem. If you need to remove heavy wet material from the gutters, the flimsy shovel works, but go with smaller scoops.

Very helpful tool for the $!
Cleaning the gutters out is my least favorite chore, just ahead of raking. I've got a huge white maple that drops red seeds early in the summer, followed closely by seed "helicopters". This year, I've had some neck issues and have been putting off doing the gutters. Got up there this week and the gutters were filled with a total of 20 GALLONS of wet seeds, plant life, etc. A new record, but made much easier with the new tool. In particular, the scoop made it easy to get the built up mat of life out of my long-overlooked gutters. Wish I had bought this years ago.

GUTTER CLEANING KIT TOTALLY WORKS!!!
Initially I was skeptical of usefulness or quality: I was totally wrong!THESE ARE GREAT!I didn't use the extensions, but the shovel and the scraper were all I needed. Also clear is that the makers of this kit did a LOT of R&D, because these simple tools were all I needed to clean the gutters on a 2-story house. I love how the shovel was just flexible enough to conform to the gutter trough, yet strong enough to scrape out about 5 years of mud and pine needle build-up. (<--and the caked on mud was almost an inch thick in places, both dry and wet). The scraper was perfect to clean out the gutter sides and is just small enough to fit under the gutter supports. Also small enough to poke into downspouts to clear debris. I LOVE THIS TOOL SET!The only improvement I'd suggest to the makers: holes in the handles to tie a string onto in case they get knocked off the roof while working (I'd make the string longish, and tie it to a belt loop or something on me).

A must have for cleaning gutters
I have about a 6-8' stretch of gutters where it's impossible to position a ladder for cleaning. The hooking tool in this kit is absolutely perfect for pulling the leaves and junk in the gutters towards me to remove by hand. It allows you to scrape the junk from the front and back edges of the gutters very easily, too. And you can angle the tool effectively around the gutter support brackets to pull the gunk under and through the brackets as well. The scoop accessory is basically useless, though. Just use the hook tool to pull the junk towards you, than remove by hand. There is simply no avoiding getting your hands dirty while cleaning gutters. This is a must have if you have a stretch of gutters that you cannot effectively get to by hand with a ladder. And it also helps stretch your reach further so you don't have to reposition the ladder so many times. I can do the whole length of my house with 4-5 positions of the ladder, where as before I'd need at least 7-8 positions (and still couldn't effectively clean the stretch where iI couldn't get a ladder). This saves time, so this is a very worthwhile tool to have available!
