Q: does the nacelles rotate up?

No they do not rotate at all. Not terribly kid friendly as the bottom hull section will separate when dropped. But if you don’t have little kids it is fine.

Q: Why are two different ships pictured and described?

The first photo is correct, the rest of the photos that Amazon is using are the wrong photo.

Q: Is the ship detachable from the stand???

Yes. In fact this particular ship seems to be the more prone to fall off the stand Than my other Eaglemoss ships. I think that’s due more to the weight of the saucer section. The stand is moulded to the shape of the ship and is completely separate from the ship.
