The Queen (The Original Sinners Book 8)

Superior writing and superior story telling.. Must Read
In this series conclusion book, Tiffany Reisz manages to make you cry, laugh, feel, and love. This book starts where The Virgin left off. We find our sinners in Scotland at an extravagant 8th circle wedding. After the ceremony, Nora follows Soren into the chapel and asks him to hear her confession.“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned”We finally learn the story of how Eleanor became Nora. After leaving the convent broke, homeless, and heartbroken, she returns to Kingsley. We see her explore her sadistic side and become a dominatrix while nursing her early writing career."And here I thought you were just a writer who liked extra whip in her coffee.”“I like extra whip in my everything.”Do you think you know what love is? Do you think society's traditional representation of family defines it? Do you think someone may love only one person with all their soul? Soren will prove you wrong."If I knew I would die tomorrow I’d spend all night telling you and Kingsley how much I love you both, and I wouldn’t let God take me until I was certain you knew I meant every word. I would sing it to you like the angels sing praise to God in heaven— unceasingly.”While the book is titled after our queen Nora, it is our God Soren that steals the book. It is not without heart squeezing moments that we learn of Nora's rise to underground royalty without Soren. And it is with tears that we come to realize the depth of love Soren has for his Little One and Kingsley. Everything and anything he ever did was because of his love, and for the protection of, his soulmates.“My endgame is the same endgame as in every game of chess.”“Which is?”Søren glanced at the stairs that led up to Kingsley’s inner sanctum.“Protect your king.”I could barely deal with Soren and the depth of his love. I was in tears reading his parts of the book. What a truly beautiful character.“Please,” she said. “You take my heart with you.”He kissed her forehead. “Little One, you are my heart.”Tiffany Reisz, you have given your readers everything with this series. Thank you for giving us this story. Thank you for writing it so well. And thank you for Soren. I will greatly enjoy the pleasure of rereading the series in the future.“Søren promised to give me something and he kept his promise.”“What did he give you?”Nora laughed.“Everything.”The Original Sinners series is a wonderful reading experience. Tiffany Reisz creates unforgettable characters in the stunning and unorthodox love story of a king, a queen, and their God. It is brilliant how she is able to transform the reader's depiction and opinion of a character from the Red Years to the White Years by completing the story. This series is captivating, sexy smart, and beautifully written. It is a MUST READ. I would give it an infinite amount of stars if that were possible. It's superior writing and superior story telling. You will not regret it.“You know, in chess the queen is the strongest piece on the board.”Kingsley chuckled softly. He pushed the robe aside to kiss her nipples.“I know. And the king is the most vulnerable.”“There is one person stronger than the queen or the king combined,” she said.“Who?”“The man who moves the pieces.”Rating Legend:5 star-loved it4 star-liked it3 star-it was okay2 star-didn't like it1 star-hated it

A beautiful end to a wonderful series (no spoilers)
I'd held off on reading these last two books, only because I knew they were the last, and I didn't want to say goodbye. Once I started reading, I kept looking at that little percentage indicator on the Kindle app - both dreading the end and wondering what more would happen. What kind of torture could she put them through before the end?But then I realized something, and it kinda shocked me with both its obviousness and subtlety. The angst and pain and fear of what will happen to these characters all comes from the stories they're telling of their lives...in flashbacks. Yes, there are scenes that hurt. Yes, I gasped at points and worried what would happen next. But then it struck me - just like the Dom/sub play so often described, as a reader, I was safe. As a reader I submitted myself to the drama and pain, but my safe out was knowing that they were all fine in the present. It's crafty as hell to have the reading experience parallel that so perfectly. It was a fascinating read to discover what Nora had to go through to become The Queen. Events mentioned throughout the series are finally detailed here, and the elegance with which all the events lock together gives me such respect for the author and all the detail and planning that went into this series. It's finely crafted and honed and the respect she has for these people is evident. You think I would have learned by now not to underestimate Nora, Søren or Kingsley, and I'm still just as delighted and awed to be shown once again how clever they are.I'm sad to see the end, and I hope we keep getting vignettes on their lives on Ms. Reisz's website. Personally, I'd love to see a compendium of the series - an illustrated encyclopedia detailing the characters' histories and how they crossed paths. Must be the completist in me.(The most intriguing notion in the whole series comes in this book, when there's a 'what if' discussion concerning who met whom and when. If ever there was a plot point ripe for fic or vignette...wow.)My thanks and gratitude to the author for gifting us with this series and these people. Like so many before me, I adore Nora, I adore Søren, and I might wish for Kingsley's watch.

Joy and grief
My heart is both happy and shattered with ending of this series. I stumbled upon an author who wrote a series I will carry with me forever. These characters, so well written, will live with me always and be visited often. You are the Queen, Mistress Tiffany. Thank you.

Nora-like.Ach ja: es gibt auch ein Wiedersehen mit Zach.

Amo Tiffany Reisz sempre più
Superba, eccelsa, pefetta e assoluta.

The crowning glory to this epic series
Wow, wow, wow! I started this book with some trepidation, not because I didn't think I would love but because I didn't want it to end. But it was a beautiful and fitting tribute to the story and the fantastic Author. I'm giving it 5 stars because there are no more allowed. But in truth this book, this series deserves all the stars in the starriest night sky.I was introduced to this amazing series last year and these characters have been part of my life ever since. The characters are so intensely developed, so real and just so damn wonderful. The whole series is like a giant tapestry portraying the life of this complex trio. Each book picks up the thread of a previous unfinished storyline and weaves its' way in to give a little more of the overall picture. It tells of intricate, sometimes delicate and almost always forbidden relationships, woven in the vibrant colours of passion. As the picture builds we're enlightened in the ways of these complex characters and shown just how selfless true love is. How much they will sacrifice for each other and how much of themselves they will give for each other. The whole picture is framed in a complete circle of unending love.It brought out in me depths of emotion I didn't know existed, at times I read the words through my tears and yet I felt totally uplifted by it.I love these characters and I honestly think I may have a girl crush on Nora - never had one of those before! If I ever came face to face with Soren I genuinely believe I would do what Grace did, or at least hope I could be lucky enough to have the chance to do what Grace did. What can I say about Kingsley? I adore him, of course I do, doesn't everyone?I'm so sad that the story has ended and there's really only one thing I can do now, read it all again! From one bad Catholic to another, I salute you Ms Reisz!
