Rush Limbaugh Nails it as Usual, Almost!
As always, Rush gets it right with historical accuracy, attention to detail and writing at a level that young people can understand, yet adults can find interesting and educational. This book covers the US Constitution, Declaration of Independence and history of the Betsy Ross flag - "Star Spangled Banner" in excellent detail. Sadly, it glosses over the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union of the USA, our first governing document from 1774 to 1989, which is also a significant part of American history. Most people don't realize that the US Constitution was NOT a founding document, but created almost two decades later by a group of power grabbers that did not shed one drop of blood in the American Revolution, which the Articles guided us through. These were the establishment, elites of their day, just like the Establishment trash of today. They were too good and far above those fighting and dying for the nation, until the victory was won and all was safe, then they felt that the common person was too ignorant and stupid to govern themselves, so they had to write a new document, with one major change, no recalls and no term limits, thus creation of the professional politician. This was the biggest complaint because the Articles had term limits of 2 times for each office, and politicians could be recalled at any time. Other than that, the Articles were a good source for the Constitution. In today's move to get back to states having the final say over an inflated, power-happy, tax-happy federal government filled with traitors to the nation, the Articles would be a way back to setting things right. The ORIGINAL Founders got it right the first time. And to those Constitutional Scholars that say the Articles wouldn't have worked, this exact same system has been working in Switzerland for over 200 years and it is also the source for the modern Parliamentary systems in Europe and the rest of the world.

Great Series
I have all of this children's series. They are well written, and narrated.I recommend them for anyone.I don't read well, therefore I prefer the audio type. The paper version had illustrations.

Excellent book series - great for kids to learn US History (the real history)
I can't speak highly enough of this book series. Every one has been a fun and informative read. It isn't based on a political party, so even people who weren't fans of Rush can know that these books are just FACTS on HISTORY presented to kids in a fun time-traveling way. He presents the culture and clothing of the era, and the background to what led to each event. Truly needed in every USA home today.

He really does know his history but presents it in such a way that is fun and FUNNY for kids reading it
There is a reason why Rush Limbaugh continues to be a top-selling children's book author. He really does know his history but presents it in such a way that is fun and FUNNY for kids reading it. I think this book is great for any kid 6 to 16 who loves history and many adults have been known to pick it up and learn a thing or two. My 91 yo mom even enjoys reading it and has admitted it's pretty good and she's a life-long liberal!! LOL! Think whatever you will about Rush Limbaugh--you will not find any trace of agenda or bias in these highly desired history books. Packed with great illustrations as well as beautiful historical paintings and documents and a talking horse that travels across time with a teacher and his kids, these books make history come alive and are fun for kids. You will probably learn things about history that you forgot or never learned in school. For years kids have been bored to death because history is basically the "study of dead people" with a bunch of dates attached to it. But if you turn them into stories they can relate to and pair it with modern life/technology that all kids relate to, suddenly it becomes very very interesting. Keep writing Rush! We love them!

Great book! My daughter had read all of the previous series and eagerly anticipated its arrival in the mail. She enjoyed this be very much as well. This series has fired up her imagination and increased her appetite for American history. She laughed out loud at Liberty's antics. History can be fun!
