Marky's Cuttlefish Squid Ink Imported from Spain - 3.2 OZ / 90 G - Food Coloring Tinta Calamari Squid Ink Pasta

I've been wanting to prepare Seafood Paella Negra and went with this brand. This brand delivers not only with the color but with the taste (subtle, not fishy) and intensity of the tinta (ink) coverage of rice and seafood. I relied mostly on the flavors brought by the king crab legs, mussels, and prawns that I used, and the aromatics I added. It came out very close to a restaurant's paella that we love.

I got the kind of squid ink that I expected. I used it to cook a certain kind of pasta, and the taste was superb!:)

I like to use squid ink in various Mediterranean starch preparations like squid ink pasta with cephalopods, black cuttlefish "paella", risotto with various cephalopods and other sundry sea creatures, etc. I've used products from at least half-dozen different suppliers, and this one is solid. Will buy again.I do feel like they maybe have diluted the product down a bit. Made some spaghetti al nero di seppia tonight, and it was great, but I do feel that based on previous usages I used almost double the product I used to. Maybe skimpflation is going on and they're putting in more cellulose than they used to? Came in a jar with a blue label rather than the yellow I had on my previous purchase. Overall, still a great value (this is a delicacy product, it's potent stuff, and you don't need a lot), and will buy again.
