Partition Commander

I bought this software as a means of converting my harddrive back to fat32 format but found many usefull features beside. IT can be used with windows and linux and is thoughly reliable. ITS fast and can resize/change fat[All}ntfs,linux ext2,ext3 without loss of data or having to re-format your harddrive. It can speed up your hard drive,although i have to admit i couldnt see any speed diference,it makes your harddrive more reliable {maybe due in my case to the removal of ntsf} It has only one minor anoyonce which is you have to restart your computer to use it and when you first use it it has no mouse function until switch on as an option. A very good buy in my case and cheaper than all the other products i reviewed with more options!

I have never used third party software for partitioning before. I always used to stick to FDISK and FORMAT commands in DOS. I decided to give it a try especially seeing how reasonably priced it is. I had only had the software a day and I ran into trouble whilst using FDISK, I couldn't boot at all from the hard drive. I couldn't get into FDISK or FORMAT with a Floppy boot disk. Then I thought I will give partition commander a try. I booted the computer from the CD and hey presto! I was in there and able to repair and reformat my drives, a two minute job. What a life saver. This software is highly recommended.

I wanted to install a second o/s on my machine. I reviewed all the software available on the market and decided on Partition Commander. And as an added advantage it comes with System commander Personal Edition, which allows the user to choose the o/s they want at startup AND Copy Commander to copy one drive contents to another drive. I now have a machine set up which is running Windows 2000 Pro NTFS with Windows 98se FAT32. Both work fine and of course by using Partition Commander I did not have to reformat my hard drive, and repartition with fdisk. The whole process took just over 4 minutes on a 40gb hard drive! There are quite a few products on the market for partitioning, but this is exceptionally good value and works a treat, easy to use with a partition wizard or if you really know your stuff you can do the whole job manually. Best of all you don't even have to install it, it will run from cdrom if you want. If you want to save space, create partitions, add another o/s and tons of other things too then BUY THIS. Oh and just for added info. I live in France and purchased this software from Amazon UK because Amazon France were charging over double the price! The parcel arrived within 2 days of despatch, great service Amazon UK thanks.
