Stretchrite 1 1/4-Inch by 25 Yards White Drawcord Knit Elastic Spool

UPDATE: The company offered 2 options one being me sending back the product for a full refund but I had to pay for shipping again to send it back. However after contacting the seller and expressing my opinion of the fairness to hit me again for shipping due to their mistake on sending the wrong product. The company has issued a full refund on my order without me sending the wrong product back. They were very nice on this and fast on resolving this issueRaised my star rating to 2 because of how nice and fast they were but still doesn't change fact that the product described and received are 2 different things.I ordered a 25 yd spool of drawcord elastic like was described and pictured. It is an ideal way to create a comfortable waistband that requires a quick tightening with just a pull of the drawcord.What I received was 1 1/4 inch regular elastic - not what I ordered and not what I wanted. Plus it was not on a spool it was a cut amount of how much I don't know since I did not unwind because it was not what I ordered or what was described.Totally unusable for me. Each spool contains 25 yards of drawcord elastic that is white in color and is 1 1/4 inch wide

this is great stuff. I little difficult to sew in but that is because you sew it in, not put it in a casing. So 4 rows of stitching, two on top of the draw-cord, two below the draw-cord. DO NOT catch the draw-cord in that stitching. I fold down the garment where I am adding the elastic about 5/8 inch, iron it. This makes it easier to then sew the elastic in from the inside of the garment (wrong side up) and leaves a nice finish above it. (So be sure you have the elastic high enough to cover that fold down so your first row of stitching on the elastic hold it down.) To measure the length needed for the draw-cord elastic, pull it reasonable snug around you that is your measurement. DO NOT PULL that drawstring out until you have stitched in the elastic. I don't overlap the elastic, I sew a little piece of fabric on to each end with the draw-cord just mated together, No bulk that way. You will like it so much you will find 25 yards was a great investment.

I sew with drawcord elastic all the time. It saves a lot of work. I have seen more than one brand with a similar idea, and the spool I got from this manufacturer seems to have a heavier drawstring and nicer weight elastic than the kind I just ran out of.

I've been making Britches for Brunswick County from donated T-shirts. I use this drawstring elastic in all 500 pair thus far. The public schools love the shorts specifically because the drawstring makes the "Britches" fit any waist. I love it because it's so easy to incorporate into the shorts. Thank you. great! used for pajama bottoms, this is soooo much better than just using elastic!

This is definitly priced right. I do a lot of sewing and alterations. I'm a gym rat and have had to make all of my workout clothes smaller. This is great for changing waistlines. As you get smaller you just tighten the drawstring. I would buy this again.
