I'm trying to get rid of ant hills all over the yard. It is creating so many ants. Will this product work for killing ant hills on the lawn?

If you are applying this to ant hills/cracks/crevices, buy this item "Chapin 5000 16-Ounce Hand Pump Rose and Plant Duster" at Amazon and use this Terro Dust. Put the duster tube over the entrance/crack and and inject it with the duster. This dust is so fine it acts like a gas and penetrates deep. It is a very effective method and pumping the dust into the opening works very well.

I want to apply this product in my backyard ( have a huge problem with ants...)....how long I have to wait before my dog can enjoy her backyard again.

I'm not really sure. I found it to be kind of strong(had to use face mask and gloves) and I was only putting it in my window sills (I live on the 3rd floor). It absolutely works 100%, applied once and only had one or two ants make it through (applied in late April). I might wait about 3 weeks. Probably your dog won't want to go near it. I guess if you know where the ant hills are you can pour this on top of them. I would be cautious about your pet though. This stuff stays pretty well even after it rains. Sorry I couldn't offer more advice.
