Helikon-Tex Men's Windrunner Windshirt Flecktarn

Owned the Windrunnner in Camogrom for a year and it’s been by far one of the most versatile layers ever. Initially I thought it would only be good in only mild weather but I have used this all year round over different base/mid layers. Washes incredibly well, zero fade and wears tough. Still as good as new with miles of backpacking clocked up on it. So good I just had to get another in Flecktarn❤️🏆👍🏻

Truly excellent piece of equipment was issued something similar in the army but this is is phenomenal. Keeps wind out a treat when used as a third layer.

I keep it folded up in its own pocket even in my work bag

This windproof, in conjunction with a jumper, gives adaptability to a wide range of temperatures. Has reinforcement patches on the elbows.

J'en possède trois. Helikon teck est une bonne marque de tous se qui est vêtements "urban tactical ". Toujours plié dans mon sac au cas où la température baisse.je ne peux pas m'en passer même l'été quand on peut être surpris par les températures fraîches de début de soirée.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Thin enough to avoid excessive heat build-up and tightly-woven enough to provide wind-protection. Material beads water from brushing against foliage and light rain, and spreads and dissipates perspiration from inside. Worn over a thin summer fleece shirt, it provided perfect protection in light mist and drizzle in 2C temperatures for over 3 hours on a fast, hilly forest walk. Works best when fitted relatively well - i.e. not too baggy - over a wicking fleece. I usually wear an XL or even XXL top, but this is L and fits perfectly... Second image shows perspiration wicking through from inside (on this day it was 11C and humid) Sadly, no stuff sack included which I see should be provided in some product photos from the manufacturer.

Ordered what I thought was a US Medium. The description and sizing chart photo show only US sizes. I received a EU medium/US Small, which is annoying since it already took while to receive the item and it’s not what I ordered. The jacket quality is good. It’s thin and light. I ordered the Flecktarn and the camo on the jacket is darker then NOS surplus Flecktarn pants. Since I got the wrong size, the no mentioning of EU size and I can’t use the jacket as a result, 1 star. Reached out to the seller about the sizing issue so I’ll update the review when I get the correct size and actually use the jacket. Update. Got a replacement jacket through a different vender. Return was easy and painless. The jacket is nice and late weight. Good for early morning hikes or when the wind picks up. I did a 10 mile hike in the mountains around the pacific coast and I didn’t over heat, and the jacket kept the wind off me. It’s a nice light packable jacket. Jacket does it’s job in heavy fog and is ok in “light rain”. It’s not really designed to be a rain jacket. Just make sure you order the right size. I ordered a EU Large and got a US Medium on my second try. It has plenty of room for layers underneath. Hope this is helpful!

Glad I saw the reviews on sizing and did some lucky guessing. I'm 5'9 165lbs and have worn a US MIL standard Medium Regular for 45 years. I ended up ordering a size small and it fits perfectly with enough room for a puffer underneath. The sizing chart was confusing on arm length, but I'm guessing it must be measuring mid-line of the chest to the center of the palm of an outstretched arm. Construction quality is great. Design is very practical. Packs very small into an interior pocket (~3x7 inches). I plan on carrying it as an additional outer layer for active winter sports and it seems it will be up to the task. The Alpha Green seems slightly darker than any of the gear I was issued once upon a time (if you're trying to match something). Website description said hand wash only. That's not gonna happen. I'll post an update if it disintegrates.

Diese Jacke ist einfach der Hammer! Hält als Ponchoersatz über einem normalen Hoodie oder nur mit einem Shirt bekleidet. Bei starkem Regen hält sie dicht ( 30min) Danach wirds auch drin leicht feucht, aber sie perlt die Regentropfen gut ab. Mir ist die Jacke an manchen als auch zu Warm, jedoch schwitzt man drunter nicht. Sie ist nur 192g schwer wenn man sie in die vorgesehene Tasche zusammenpackt. Also ich bin mit dem Produkt 100% zufrieden. Was mich nur stört, ist der Aufdruck das sie in China produziert wurde. Aber ansonsten gute Helikon Qualität
