This is yet another “Mallory” dilemma that old and new fans will love ...
There were big problems and there were little problems. Mallory Louise McDonald was sick of the new baby and it hadn’t even arrived yet. Her best friends Mary Ann and Joey were expecting. Well, their mother, Colleen, was going to have the baby. Ever since they found out that’s all anyone could talk about. Babies, babies, babies! The only thing they did was “sleep and cry and eat and poop.” Just what was so special about this one anyway? Any time someone spotted Mary Ann the subject of babies came up. Mary Ann, who was Mallory’s best friend, just didn’t seem to have time for her lately. Mallory was just being i-g-n-o-r-e-d. Big time!Of course the little problem was that baby and the big one was the fact that Mallory seemed to be invisible. When Charlie was born, Mary Ann and Joey didn’t seem to know she existed. Mallory even had to watch “Fashion Fran” all by herself. It wasn’t right that her BBF (or at least since kindergarten) wasn’t there to watch their favorite show with her. Instead Mary Ann and Joey were watching that baby, Charlie, and were picking out a color for the nursery. It was getting really lonely at 17 Wish Pond Road, but Mom said that later on the would all “have a lot of fun teaching him all sorts of new things.”Things just seemed to be going from bad to worse. When Mallory’s mom baked her favorite cake it wasn’t for her. It was for Charlie’s baby shower. There were all kinds of presents and Mary Ann and Joey were getting some too. Even Winnie, their older sister, got some. Huh? They weren’t babies! The whole world was excited about Charlie, including her mother. Mallory could be doing the craziest things like “wearing a diaper” and no one would notice at all. “How can you be friends with people who have forgotten you?” This being ignored business would just have to stop. Mallory Louise McDonald, 17 Wish Pond Road, had a plan. Would she be able to pull it off? This is yet another “Mallory” dilemma that old and new fans will love. That little bundle of joy, Charlie, was big trouble for Mallory. This time I was a bit disappointed that Mallory wasn’t big time trouble for pulling one of her infamous stunts, but nonetheless, I fell in love with this tale. Mallory was still Mallory, a character that is very easy to fall in love with. Once again she’s scheming and has big plans to draw attention to herself. There’s never a dull moment when Mallory is around and this book certainly won’t disappoint. Each one of the books can stand alone, but once young readers discover her, they’ll be racing back to read the other Mallory books! This book courtesy of the publisher.

It was okay
Okay so I am in 5th grade and read this a few days ago. I was not that interested in it. I highly recomend this book and the others for 1st - 3rd graders. It was honestly a very disappointing beginning.

Mallory McDonald, baby expert
OH NO!!!!!! Mary ann and Joey are getting a baby brother or sister! All anyone is talkig about is babys. Mallory feels like no one is remembering her. Mary ann can't have sleepovers, she can't play, AND she can't watch Fashion Fran! And Joey can't skateboard, or teach Cheeseburger cat tricks! Mallory is very upset. Will Mallory convince Joey and Mary ann to play with her? Or will Mallory be alone?
