Seriously love these lighters, I don't know where the negative reviews are coming from... here's why:1. They light every time (just don't turn up the flame control too high or it won't light because the air fuel mixture is too rich)2. They're literally wind proof, even in a high wind these things light without having to hold your hand up to block the wind because the flame is so intense3. They last a long time and are refillable, they only require refueling after a couple weeks of heavy use in my experience.4. Quality, they are made out of a plastic / rubber type material which is non slip and provides great ergonomics5. They cost less than BIC, work better, and are refillableUpdate: Last order had almost 50% last only a few uses or not at all, furthermore at least 75% of them were not refillable with butane or would not light ... they need to do something about quality control

These lighters will still light a cigarette even with desert winds blowing. Not many lighters will. #### Update. The first two lighters I used did great for a month then quit. Three others I went to use don’t light at all. I won’t get these again 🤬

I’ve been looking for inexpensive torch lighters for my husband who is a cigar smoker. No matter what we’ve paid, all of the torch lighters we’ve purchased in the past have pooped out - bad flints we think. These lighters were certainly reasonable in price but I guess you get what you paid for. The lighter takes a few seconds to go out after taking your thumb off the button/clicker to turn the lighter on. Oh well they work so I guess that’s the main thing.

I have bought these several times over 5-6 years. Used to be very good, 4-5 stars. NOW in this last batch, they work poorly, seem underfilled, run out WAY too soon! You click and click--nothing--and then move the slider switch over a little and get a giant blast! And the flame is not even sustained, it ends before you want it to. Does not do a good job of the one thing it's supposed to do, light and burn smokables evenly and in a controlled manner! VERY disappointed. Sorry, a photo does not show this uneven performance. I have used a few in this latest batch and am not inclined to use the rest because they are JUNK. And the price went up too. WTF! I rarely have complaints about Amazon products, so you know I really mean it.

I purchased these for little add on gifts for my groomsmen, they are all getting a couple of nice cigars, a cutter and a custom cigar tray. Really all I needed was a lighter that they could use for lighting up those bad boys. The lighters all worked right out of the bag, feel light (but durable) and if they don't work after a week or month or year then no big loss. Paid less than a buck for each one. Can't get a better deal than this.Pros: cheap price, all work, nice flame (not terribly big, but decent)Cons: are a little cheap feeling, reports of limited life, odd assortment of colors

I was thinking about purchasing these lighters for about 2 weeks now and I decided to avoid getting sore thumbs with Bic lighters anymore. My wife received the package today, Monday after I ordered them Saturday afternoon. Quicker than I expected but exceeded my expectations! I ordered 10 and they all work. I received 2blue, 2red,2green, 1 black, 1 light blue, 1orange,and 1purple. They have a matte finish which helps maintain a nice grip on the lighters. One concern would be leaving this lighter in proximity to children. With a child with strong enough fingers to click button down, this would be a just as dangerous as a real lightsaber! Flaming through everything! But other than that, fantastic lighter even in the wind.

Bought these for use for a week long backpack trip this summer in the high Sierra -- lighting camp fires. Worked fine at sea level, but absolutely none of them worked at 9000 plus feet. They wouldn't light. Gas was coming out, but the lighter wouldn't light. Returning home to near sea level, they all worked fine. So don't expect them to work at high altitudes. Perhaps the 'torch' needs more air/oxygen to light than is available at 9000 feet? Not sure at what altitude this becomes an issue for these lighters. Thankfully we had two backup lighters of the regular style, plus matches.

I'm on my Dads account because I don't have one of my own i'm 16 and we already bought these for my brother there great like mini blow torches almost there very sturdy plastic and light things with ease. There a little bigger than the average lighter but I like it. When it comes to being windproof I lit one and whipped it around my room as fast as I could I couldn't even get the flame to flicker. The only problem my brother had was you have to make sure to push down firmly, and straight down or it wont light. Its not hard to do at all its just that my brother has a way of trying to light lighters that causes him to pull down at an angle. Other than that I love all the different colors and the grip the plastic has. There great cheap lighters. PS. it has a very satisfying click
