The new editions of the younger CYOA books are hit or miss. This one was a hit. The options were varied and ridiculous, while still being consistent enough to be satisfying. The endings are all more-or-less positive, which is important to my younger child.

My son, now 40, loved these books. So nice I can continue the love for reading to his son.

This is one of the most entertaining Choose Your Own Adventures. so if you want to try out the genre for your reluctant reader, this is the one.

My daughter is learning to read and this book was interesting enough to keep her interested, as where a lot of books if she doesn't know the words right away discourage her. I'll definitely be expanding our library with more of these books.
