QUITE YUMMY
I'm still experimenting with making a perfect dish of this robust, meaty and absolutely delicious Emmer Farro. The recipe I originally tried didn't call for it to be cooked long enough -- it needs at least 45 minutes. I also have found that I prefer to cook it in a low sodium chicken or mushroom broth or even in water flavored with soy sauce. It likes the addition of onions or shallots and also mushrooms, but could happily accept most vegetables and/or meats for a delicious main course. Raisins and/or apricots suit it well. My most recent experiment involved the addition of pomegranate molasses. If you're following a Mediterranean diet, this grain would be an excellent and healthy addition. Even if you're not following any particular diet, I suggest giving Emmer Farro (also known as Emmer wheat) a try. I suspect that you like it.

Delicious organic wholegrain from local USA grower
Loads of fiber and goodness in here. Lovely chewy texture. Great to support local USA organic grower and we love this alternative to Rice which makes me sleepy after eating it (even brown). So this is great with finely chopped vegies and chicken or whatever else you want to add. Wholesome GOODNESS!

Finally found whole grain and not pearled or semi pearled!
This ferro costs about $5 more than the kind I was getting through Amazon from Canada - now unavailable. BUT it's the only organic and whole grain I could find and it tastes great!

Delicious - but is it really a bran-intact grain?
The label proudly announces that this is a "whole grain," but that doesn't really tell us much about the bran content of this product. One question indicates that it is not pearled, which is an assumption. I just want to know how much this stuff is processed, and whether the bran has been removed.I absolutely love this product - very delicious. So delicious, in fact, that I'm wondering if it is actually whole bran or if I've been eating secretly pearled farro due to misleading advertising.

Not flour
I searched for emmer flour and this product came up. It is actually whole grain, not ground into flour.

The best farro
I really like farro--it's my favorite grain because it's so chewy and has a nice sweet taste (quinoa is a bit strong for me). This variety is extra meaty and moist. It takes an hour or so to cook, so I make a whole bag in a big pot--I use the bag to measure out three times the water---and freeze what I won't be using in a few days. It's a great grain for a side dish/grain bowl deal, or for breakfast!

Best Farro
This is the first farro I ever had, and it has spoiled me for any other brand of farro. Texture, flavor, heartiness…Mmm. It is expensive, though, but worth it. I like it with roast peppers, toasted pine nuts, and crumbled feta.

Not as described. Only received one 16 oz item - thought I was ordering a pack of 2.
I dislike that I paid $22 for one item. The description said I was purchasing a pack of 2. I only received one. Extremely disappointing. False advertising.
