Worked after a while
So I tried this missile launcher on 3 separate computers, 2 Windows 7 laptops and one Windows 2003 server. Nothing, it would turn left to right, not up and down and certainly no firing.Convinced I had a lemon I was ready to ship this back to Amazon but it arrived Friday afternoon at the office and I couldn't be bothered dealing with it. Which was a good thing!Fast forward to Monday, I was ready to pack the unit up when we noticed one of the missiles had "fallen off" the launcher. Odd, I logged into the PC it was connected to and indeed, it was now working! My only explanation would be that there is a capacitor within the device that needed to be left some time to charge up so if it does not work, leave it a while and then see if it works.Only 4 stars for whilst it does what it is supposed to do and i have indeed been able to launch hidden volleys from behind the small partitions directly onto the heads of my co-workers, the pump is SO LOUD that they all know what is coming about 30 seconds before it launches! Element of surprise is totally lost. Still, we have fun with it when someone new is around who wonders what the heck that noise is right before they get a foam dart to the head!

do not buy!
So having purchased this and assuming that it would work regardless of warnings, I was wrong. Customer service reasonably suggested that I shake it, fire upside down, etc to get it to work. Did it work? No.So, I'm returning it because not only is it basically unsupported, but the software included is so horrifically out of date it's not even funny. Even the dreamcheeky software on dreamcheeky's actual website for said USB missile launcher didn't even help at all. In addition, they said they stopped producing this in 2007. That's like buying a car from 1980 with 0 miles and expecting that everything will work properly by 2013. Not so much.So in a word, let's put it this way : do not buy this product at any time under any circumstances. You have been warned.

Not worth it.
Very disappointing product. It was a wonderful idea, but failed to deliver. Old product not designed for modern systems. Software is buggy, sound effects are only on desktop and are quite bad. The Device pivots and elevates... bearily, as the gears sounded like they would break at any minute. Would not fire. Ever. Even though the sounds on the desktop indicated they did. Not worth 50 bucks. At that price just get Nerf toy and extra darts.

Do not buy this
I purchased two of these, neither of them work. I called support and they told me this is a very old model and to shake it and bang it to get it to work. I recommend that you do not waste your money on this model. Buy the newer model.

Fun until it broke quickly
This was a present for my husband to take to work. It only worked a short while. Was fun the few times he did get to use it, but now just junk cluttering his desk. Not worth the money.

Garbage
Neat idea, I'll give it that much. When it arrived, it was packaged well everything was brand new ect ect. Turret rotates left and right sometimes it hangs up on itself. I noticed the same with the vertical angle adjustment. My particular unit does not fire. In addition it locks the program up after attempting to fire. I have disassembled the unit to discover wires were mashed in between the gears of the turret rotating system and also in the gear system responsible for raising and lowering the turret. The firing mechanism had inadequate lubrication for the poorly designed mechanical assembly to function correctly. I also found the reason for the included software program to lock up after clicking fire, and that is: when it fires (mine doesn't fire, but it's supposed to) it closes a circuit sending a signal back to the program to tell the program the unit has fired and to also make the neat "cannon" sound. This product would be 100x better if they invested in servos and solenoids for this product. I would gladly pay twice as much have given the product was build with some thought behind it. I hope another manufacture takes note to these suggestions and makes a much higher quality version of this mess they call a USB rocket launcher.

If you absolutely must have a usb missle launcher...
I had to take it apart and tinker with the gears to get it to work at all, but after that it works alright. Fires rather slowly.

Witztig
