The smell is gone!
The five level dumbbell rack from Fitness Republic did truly take only about 30 min. to assemble. No special tools needed; just the provided bolt driver and an adjustable crescent wrench from your household tool kit. The base was easy to assemble. The two vertical racks were a little more tricky, but no big deal. Provided instruction sheet was bare minimum, but it really didn't need to say much. Obviously, insert the bolt from outside to inner part of frame and place a washer between bolt head or nut and frame. With that said, I found that even though the rubbery, plasticky bumpers no longer stink to high heaven, they are apparently now stiffer (new material?) and difficult to install over the rack slot edges. So, I left them off. It's still a perfectly functional and dare I say, nice looking rack in our COVID forced home workout area. I don't think the bumpers are all that necessary anyway. I've got 20 lb. and 15 lb. dumbbells stacked next to each other with good room to spare. Just be careful when placing dumbbells onto the rack. There's bare metal to knock your fingers against.UPDATE: I decided to work with the bumpers/collars some more and found that if you loosen up the slit opening by pulling it apart it will then somewhat easily slip over the metal collar. That should save a few fingers from pinching against bare metal. Updating to 5 stars.

It seems like a good buy.
It is rugged and well able to hold weights. It is slightly tight around the dumbbells when you try to remove them.

Great Holder
I bought this to hold our Neoprene weight set and it is perfect! It is nice to have them organized in one spot.ASSEMBLY: My husband put together in about 10 minutes. No problems.STURDINESS: We leave this in one place and it is simple to remove the weights and place them back in the holders. it remains perfectly still (no wobbling) and the weight settle down quietly into the place holders.FUNCTIONALITY: There is ample space in between each of the four place holders for lighter weights. But if you are placing weights heavier than 15 lbs I can see how it might be too tight of a space. We have 15lb on the bottom with lighter ones on top and it works perfectly. The height and overall size of the unit is also functionally ideal for a set of four lighter weights.

A decent and sturdy rack for the money.
It was easy enough to assemble, and all the parts were there, just be sure to use 2 washers and 1 nut with every bolt. It is solid and stable, and a test with 2 dumbbells in the top slots did not make it prone to tipping. The rubber inserts that the dumbbells rest on may have to be glued; time will tell on that one. The spacing is ok, I have a big hand but it the rack allows me to use my 3 strongest fingers to place or remove a dumbell, so the rack will accommodate a wide variety of sizes. Here in the time of corona virus I use the rack in my living room where I work out while watching TV, and it sits unobtrusively under a table. Pleased so far, but it was not cheap either, but it gets my dumbbells off the floor, and it does not smell.

Solid Product!
I never write reviews, but this product deserved it. I looked at expensive weight racks from Dick's Sporting Goods for $150 and racks on Amazon for as low as $26. I finally chose this weight rack, and I am very happy I did. It is solid, sturdy, does not take up a lot a space, and was easy for my husband to put together. I have 6 sets of neoprene weights on the stand, 1lb to 10 lb weights. I was super stressed over choosing the right rack, this was definitely the right one!

Exactly what I needed
The media could not be loaded. Arrived on time and complete. It’s very sturdy and can fit all the heavy weights at the bottom and lighter weights on the top tier. It’s heavy and good quality. Took 15 minutes to assemble with instructions included in the package, all screws came together tight . It doesn’t have a bad smell. This is the cheapest I can find with a 5 tier.
