First runes ever!
I just got these in the mail a few minutes ago and I'm already IN LOVE! The picture didn't do them justice; I thought they were gonna be just plain blue but they're a beautiful opalite color that kind of has an orangish glow in the right light at the right angle. Some seem to be just plain transparent though but it doesn't bother me that much.I was kind of worried cos other reviews said that they were small, but for me they're the perfect size and they'll fit perfectly into my bag if I need to take them somewhere. They're also very light and they're flat, which makes putting them in the pouch nice because it won't be too bulky to fit places. I also like the little card that came with it.I will love and keep these forever! Thanks for a first great set of runes.

An honest opinion.
First-time room buyer. I looked everywhere to find the right value and the right quality to make it balance out. I came to find these stones and red an equal amount of bad reviews and good reviews. I decided to give them a chance and Incorporated a message asking to make sure that nothing was left behind as I did have some concerns. Upon receiving my package today every runestone is accounted for as you can see with the photos they also include a blank Stone. They did provide a small bag which I later upgraded into something more personal. Over all these are the best Stones I have seen on here they are vibrant with color and yet still so clear. I would buy again should I ever need more.

The opalite runes are incredible
Purchased the opalite runes as a special gift for a friend. They arrived faster than expected and are just stunning. For such a moderately priced set, the runes are surprisingly perfect. The stones all match in shape, shine, size, and pattern- they feel wonderful in your hands. The runes are etched nicely, well marked and easy to read.I will be proud to gift them, unlike the two slightly cheaper sets from ‘Coyee’ that arrived looking like they were pulled out of the tumbler early and then carved by a child. Wish I’d have order them all from this seller!

Exactly what I expected & great for the price.
I ordered from the seller 'vkb sales.' My set came with a flimsy little red bag and 25 runes (24 of the original set, one blank). The runes were inside the bag and the bag tucked into a small plastic container. It did not come with instructions or meanings or a chart/mat. (I will provide some divination instructions at the end of the review, though there are plenty of other ways to use them.) The runes were all about the same size. All of them were opalite. For those who aren't aware, opalite is a generic term that refers to any glass or paste which is colored to appear transparent blue with opal-like orange colorplay. In this case, the opalite is glass and has the described visual effect. As with all opalite, it is man-made. This is not a gemstone you find in nature or anything of that sort. While none of them were purely clear or opaque, the opacity did vary slightly from rune to rune, which is to be expected at this price point. The letters were etched deep and inked in gold. There were some minor imperfections (some tiny but deep scratches here and there that were also inked - hardly noticeable unless you're looking for errors). There were a few minor mistakes, such as the Sowilo character being drawn straight instead of at an angle; it's not a big deal, seeing as you can still tell the difference between it and Eihwaz and use them as intended. I will describe all of the errors shortly. The runes are about the size of a human nail and ~1cm deep. They're a bit rounded and like to land upside down when they're allowed to roll too much.As with all glass and gem runes, they're a bit fragile and should be cast on a cushioned mat. You can do this by layering your mats and placing some folded fabric beneath them. Keep the surface even and flat, raised up with just enough layers to soften the impact. You may prefer to cast them in 1"-2" deep sand to prevent damage or rolling.Complete list of the runes received & their errors:blank (having a blank in each set is pretty common / intentional / recommended)Inguz/Ingwaz (it's drawn with the v at the top and bottom, not the diamond version)Dagaz (drawn sideways so it could fit on the rune, correct symbol)Hagalaz (drawn correctly)Jera (its characters are etched pretty close together so as to fit on the narrow rune, otherwise correct)Raidho/Raido (drawn correctly)Gebo (drawn correctly)Naudhiz (the cross section is a bit too long, making it hard to distinguish between it and Gebo)Othalan (drawn correctly)Sowilo (drawn like an English Z instead of at the correct angle)Eihwaz (drawn correctly)Berkanan (drawn correctly)Fehu (drawn correctly)Thurisaz (drawn correctly)Ehwaz (drawn correctly)Uruz (drawn like an arch and sideways to fit, technically correct and easily distinguishable but a little odd)Laguz (drawn correctly)Kaunan/Kaunaz (drawn sideways to fit, correct symbol)Ansuz (drawn correctly)Mannaz (drawn correctly)Isaz (drawn correctly)Tiwaz (drawn correctly)Z/"Algiz" (drawn correctly)Wunjo (drawn correctly)P/"Pertho" (drawn correctly)Divination instructions:Runes can be used like tarot cards or casted traditionally. Or used in other ways that aren't listed here, this is just an intro. To cast them, first decide: How will I shuffle? How many do I want to cast? What does it mean if they land upside down? (For example, you may ignore runes that are upside down entirely, or you may decide they have a negative meaning, or you may decide they are a problem which will interfere with nearby upright runes.) What does it mean if they land near or atop of each other? (For example, you may decide that it means they are closely related or that they will challenge one another.) What does it mean if a rune lands far away from the others? How does where they land affect their meaning? (For example, a common past-present-future rune cast is for those closest to you to be related issues from the past and those farthest to be issues that will be encountered in the future, or vice-versa, with those at the center of the mat representing the present issues. You can buy or make charts that are drawn into separate areas, where each section has a distinct meaning.)What question do I want answered? Then throw them upon the mat with intention and interpret their placement to receive your answer. To use them like tarot cards, first choose the question you want answered and shuffle/mix them (you may want to use a larger bag for this purpose). If you don't want to use a spread, you can pull a single rune out and place or toss it (toss for reversal readings, where the meaning is different if it lands upside down) for guidance. To use a spread, decide what each pull/toss will mean. (For example, a common spread in tarot is where the first card = past issues, the second = present issues, and the third = future issues.) If you're tossing, you should decide what reversals mean ahead of time, as you would with a more traditional casting. Then pull and interpret the reading as you go or after they're all placed/tossed. Aside: Some readers like to throw multiple runes for each pull of the spread (like pulling three cards/runes for "past" instead of just one and interpreting them together). Some also like to re-shuffle the pulled rune(s)/card(s) between pulls. Do whatever feels right to you. Each rune corresponds to a phoneme/letter found in ancient and modern alphabets. The meanings we use in divination are derived from a handful of poems passed down about them. Definitely use reference tables when you're starting out (google "rune meanings"), but read the poems yourself when you get a chance. To find the poem translations, just google "rune poems." There are three sets (Icelandic, Norwegian, and Anglo-Saxon) with minor variations. As always, use your best judgement and verify the sources on whatever sites you stumble upon while googling. (I'd link some I like directly but don't want this review to get caught in the spam filter.)

Great, but small.
First off, the size of these runes is smaller than most, but the quality is high, and the connection with these runes is strong. Although not all pieces are opalized and some are glassy, this set is very nice to have if you connect with opalite. Overall the engravings where nice, and colored with gold paint. One quirk I have with this set is the velvet bag. I assumed it would be black, but it came in an ugly pastel pink color. Which is odd for me to carry, saying I'm a man. Oh well, I can deal with it and change bags.Overall a small set, but good to have if size doesn't bother you.

Small, beautiful and worth the buy.
All my Runes where in tact and came with a little black pouch. They are as expected and I love that they are small and can fit them all, almost in the palm of my hand. I definitely recommend these runes and the color is beautiful aesthetically. Thank you for making a quality product, they are hand painted and to me that matters more than machine pressed Runes.

Missing stones
I ordered these and the stones themselves are pretty. I didn’t even mind the size but they only sent 23. When I emailed them about it I was given the run around. Then I realized they have changed their listing. Maybe to start reviews over? Any way, I would say buyer beware. Because you can take a chance and love these or get an unfinished set. Which means they are useless.

I recently ordered these rune stones and I am in love. They are a vibrant color and the gold carvings are beautiful. It came with the pouch, a symbol decifer, and lovely hand written note from the company. It also came with a sheet with different stones and their meanings on it. The customer service was superb! I reached out about my order and received a quick response and the lovely promise of a hemitite and tigers eye stone as a gift! I could not be happier with my purchase. I highly recommend using this company for any order
