It Works. Fast.
I've been battling crab grass unsuccessfully for years. I've always known quinclorac is what you use to treat it, but didn't know the big box store herbicides don't contain enough of it to work until YouTube's Lawn Care Nut advised as such. So I bought this stuff. And it works. Fast. My crab grass was dying or dead within 3 days of application. Make sure you use a surfactant with it, or you won't get good results. The manufacturer recommends Methylated Seed Oil, but I used a non-MSO one and had great results. The cons to this product are minor gripes. It's expensive compared to its big box store counterparts, but it is cheaper than competing name brand pro level quinclorac products while being just as effective. So don't balk at the price compared to something like Weed-B-Gon. This is a pro-level product that is far more powerful, so this it what that strength costs. Based on how much I use, this one bottle will last years, so it's actually a pretty decent deal. The other con is that being geared towards pros, the directions are indecipherable to us lay folks. Something as simple as how much to use with a residential 1-4 gallon sprayer can't be easily determined. I'm grateful to other reviewers here on Amazon for figuring that out. Bottom line: use one tablespoon of product per gallon of water. Don't use in heat 90 degrees F of higher (I personally try to avoid spraying over 80F). And observe the recommended wait time between sprayings should you need a second application (I didn't).

It just works
My yard has had crabgrass problems since we moved into this house. I predominantly blame the neighbors; both sides of us seem to be growing crabgrass as their main lawn crop. I applied this and within a day or two noticed a lot of action in the young crabgrass, it was turning brown, drying out and clearly dying. I've seen lesser activity in more mature crabgrass, but there are signs on the leaves that it is taking hold. I'll leave it to work for a couple weeks, and if it doesn't completely kill the mature plants, I'll make a follow-up application. But even if it only kills out the young plants, it's already worth it.You get a one pound bottle (16 ounces) and recommended rate for me took 1.4 ounces to blanket-treat 4000 square feet. Yearly maximum is 2 applications at recommended rate for most cool season grass, and 3 applications at recommended rate for warm season and turf type tall fescue. At this rate one bottle should last me about 4-5 years, especially if I can knock most of it out before it goes to seed this year, and then get some pre-emergent down next spring, so I can reduce to spot-spraying instead of blanketing the whole yard.

Works great on clover & broadleaf weeds.
I probably need to give it some time for the crab grass to die. My problem is that it’s goin to seed since I started late. I’ll probably need to follow up in spring with weed &feed I might irrigate and then retreat the crabgrass.

AMAZING!!
This stuff WORKS! My Girlfriends lawn was in really bad shape from previous owners. This October will be one year since she moved in and it's been a year in the making getting this yard back into shape! She had a major ant and grub issue. I got the grub issue under control pretty quickly but the ant problem was tough. I used Talstar Pro for ants. Took numerous applications, but the ants are gone! The yard looked beautiful EXCEPT for the crabgrass that completely took over! I tried the Ortho Crabgrass Control, and it did work, it just didn't provide the punch I needed to kill this stuff! I will give Ortho credit where it's due....it did work FAST! Within 24 hours, crabgrass was turning brown. If there wasn't so much of it, Ortho might hav been enough. After researching crabgrass control, I almost bought the Drive product....but it was a bit too pricy. I came across Quinclorac 75 and figured I'd give it a shot. This stuff WORKS!!! It doesn't work FAST, but every single piece of crab grass I sprayed it on turned brown after a week in a half! Fast forward 3 weeks, still killing the crabgrass, not a live piece anywhere....and the good grass is unharmed!! :) I love this stuff! This stuff WORKS, just be patient! On a final note, I have a 2 Gallon sprayer, I mixed it 1.5 tsp per gallon of water. This is a granular product that mixes with water. I also didn't use any surfactant...only product and water.

Be careful, kills indiscriminately if you’re not
Learn from my mistakes.Using this to knock out crabgrass in Bermuda yard.I learned by not just “yellowing” but killing stone dead some of the Bermuda, but after doin some internet digging, I’ve refined the technique to where I think we’re good.1. Make sure you spray when outside temps are below 90 for a good 8-10 hours. Crispy otherwise. (That one took digging)2. Irrigate/rain 2 days before (as per directions)3. Mow 2 days before then 2 after (as per directions)4. Add some kind of nitrogen heavy fertilizer to your death mix (in footnotes of directions)5. Directions recommend chelated iron into death mix, I’ve found pushing the lawn with ironite and watering leading up to the herbicide application yields much better results in that regard.6. MOST CRITICAL: don’t be a titanic dummy (censored for Amazon lol) like me and get in a position of having to use this stuff. Instead get you a pre-emerge down at soil temp 50F. Then you’ll have a delicious lawn that you don’t have to mess with.
