This is a beautiful piece! But unfortunately, the box was damaged and I bought this as a gift . I’m not well enough to return it and wait for another. Other wise it’s very nice.

The box was a bit smashed up even though it arrived with several other items in the same box. it looked like the box was opened already then closed. None of the candles looked used and all 45 were there.The candles had no smell which is good.Each candle's circumference varied a little. Some were thicker and some were smaller. None of them have flat bases, either. This means that some candles are a bit small and wobble around in the menorah while others will not fit at all and need some wax shaved off to fit. I used a sharp knife to carefully shave a thicker one down. this made it fit but then it like the ones that were too small still wobbled around which is a fire hazard. and frankly wonky candles sticking in all directions doesn't look too cool- they gotta be straight up and down to look pretty and be safe.So.... what do do? I do not want to drip hot wax in the menorah to make the candle stable and I do not want to sue some candle goop to glue it in place. So, being a dude I thought- duct tape! I did try scotch tape and aluminum foil first. I wrapped a little around the candle base and those helped it remain stable but the scotch tape stuck permanently to the candle - I lost the edge of the darned tape so now it's on there forever, oops. The foil was ok but got loose after a while. Duct tape worked best. i cut a tiny bit off and stuck it the back side of a candle and slid it in the menorah. And ta da! it didn't wobble and stayed straight nicely. The duct tape came off the candle nicely too when I took out the test candle. I won't let the candles burn all the way down to the bottom so no worries about burning the duct tape.So there you have it, another thing duct tape can fix: wobbly menorah candles.UPDATE: I should have mentioned that my menorah has 3/8 inch diameter holes in each cup that are also 3/8 inch deep. I don't think there is any standard size per say for the size of holes but 3/8 inch seems mot too uncommon.

I really like the look of these, and they burn with very little smoke. However, they burn pretty quickly, but likely because they are so small. Also, some of the candles arrived bent over. I live in Florida, so not unexpected; I just have to figure out how to warm them enough to straighten without melting them completely! Will buy again.

Worth the price

The candles were recommended to purchase with menorah I purchased, from the same company. They did not fit. I was forced to use them and cannot have a conversation with the manufacturer. When I try, I am offered to return them for a refund, which I cannot do. I don't understand why they are selling candles that do not fit their product.I am editing this review. I went through all reviews of these candles good and bad. 90% of the reviews, whether they loved candles or not, said the candles were uneven in shape and size and did not fit in the menorahs. The wicks on my candles were also uneven and covered in wax, which was another consistent complaint. I am left to wonder, with so many negative reviews about the size, the wicks, and not fitting the menorahs, why this company is still selling these candles. I also found out they are made in China.
