To work a millivolt furnace fireplace. Be Sure to order the special millivolt Thermostat wire to work properly.

The accuracy of this thermostat is lacking quite a bit. Think it’s off 15° but once I let the heater run for a bit I was able to tell where I like it set. And the mercury thermometer is pretty accurate. Very difficult to turn on from the off position with big fingers but I leave mine on all the time so it doesn’t really bother me too much.

This thermostat gets too hot before shutting off then gets too cold before turning on.Replaced with a digital and it works much better.

I was a bit disappointed in this little thermostat. However then I remembered how much I paid for it. It was cheap and cheap usually begets cheap results. Which is precisely what I have with this thermostat. It does function and it operates my Mr.Heater furnace. However it isn't accurate at all. Probably about fifteen degrees cold in accuracy. So it took some trial and error to see where to set the thing to get the result I was after. It does install easily with just two wires. So if all you need is something that functions then it is okay. However if you need or want accuracy then you need to spend a little more and get a good digital unit. Which is probably what I will end up doing.

I've always used Honeywell and their "round" thermostat for heat only has a battery in it and if that battery - which both 2- I ordered prior to receiving the Mr. Heater, were both dead and did not work. My DO NOT FREEZE items all froze!I highly recommend this product and no longer will purchase HONEYWELL off AMAZON.

Do yourself a favor and buy a basic digital thermostat, nothing fancy. And don’t bother with a smart thermostat.

I was looking for a reliable, thermostat that didn’t need a battery, and would keep my garage 3 C above freezing. This thermostat is perfect!

Easy to change from another thermosat, accuracy is not that great but works for my garage.

I had a thermostat which had a built in circuit board. The Mr. Heater unit wouldn't operate properly with it. The system would continuously cycle the exhaust fan, the system would ignite and then shut off almost immediately. It would then cycle the exhaust fan again. I ordered the Mr. Heater thermostat, which is analogue, and it works like a charm. No more continuously cycling. I wondered whether the circuit board on the thermostat interfered with the circuit board or the electronics built into the Mr. Heater unit. All is good now. And, it is very accurate.
