We’ve been spending a lot of time in the woods during this quarantine and my son decided that he wanted a metal detector for his birthday to take out on his hikes with us. After looking at prices mostly, because I really don’t know much about metal detectors, I decided that this metal detector was in my price range and the description looked decent. It was very easy to assemble and came with a nice pouch and shovel with built in compass. My son took it out and immediately found random pieces of metal and old tools in our woods. He gets a huge kick out of it and so does everyone else in the house. The settings seem to be easy to adjust and we are able to get multiple uses out of each battery. I also went back to check and see if it was waterproof so he could skim over the bottom of our creek and it is safe to do so as long as the water isn’t too deep which is awesome. I really went into this purchase with low expectations and trying to justify myself with the fact that I was buying it as a child’s gift but this thing has really exceeded my expectations. I’m already thinking of buying a second one for my daughter’s birthday next month.

We are very much amateurs when it comes to the hobby metal detecting but were looking for something new to try while practicing this whole new social distancing mandate and this was so fun. The first time we didnt find much but the second day of giving this a try we found a bunch of random scrap pieces, a button, $0.37 in change and what looks to be an old tool of some kind. Just like a mini treasure hunt.The detector itself is super easy to use and was perfect for us beginners. We didnt want a super fancy one, just something simple to get us started. It was easy to put together and the batteries seem to last a good long time. It also comes with a compact little shovel that really came in handy when we're out search. I'm excited to see what other kind of goodies we can uncover.

It’s very light weight, very easy to assemble. No tools needed. Requires one 9v battery (not included) Price was fair.My only complaint is the round coil attachment. It doesn’t seem to attach tight enough...so the coil isn’t level. Maybe I’ll try to tighten it more with a wrench...Comes with a nice small shovel that folds up to fit in the carry case included. (which can attach to ur belt) It’d be great for a beginner or child.

This is my first metal detector so I am still getting use to it. Seems to work ok. My first few tries I found metal 5/6 times. The next 5 or so have left me empty.I am 6’2” and it is definitely not the right size, I won’t be able to use it for long periods.The included shovel was a great idea, but it folded up like aluminum foil as soon as it went in the ground. That only gets 1 star and it gets that much because it was a good concept.

I bought a used one from warehouse to find my favorite go-to garden hand shears. I had been sort of searching for them for months. Using this took about 20 minutes to locate under some brush, waving the detector over likely spots. Money well spent! I have 'lost' my valuable Japanese clippers before and may leave them behind outside again.Fairly simple to assemble, but a pictorial in the manual of the entire unit with numbers pointing to the assembly stage would allow faster completion for those instruction challenged like myself.

Very cool. Got 2 of them one for my 13yr old nephew and one for my 7yr old daughter. Both were very impressed. Easy to assemble and does everything it says it does perfectly.
