The tires wear down over the course of the mowing season. All plastic… I have tried others, same issue. Funny as the originals lasted multiple years.

Great replacement wheels for our mower

I needed an 8 inch replacement rear wheel. This did the trick without issue. It has gears inside but I didn't need it since my mower is not self-propelled. I was glad to see that it did not affect using it as a free-rolling wheel.

The wheels fit perfectly. I used this mower for 2 years after replacing the first time. The tires grab the grass with great traction. I recommend these for Murray Mowers.

The only bad thing about them is they only last a season. The tread is gone.

Product is as described able to install with little issues but does work as the originals. Wheel are the same diameter but the the shaft is shorter than originals and would not fully engage with the front gears. You will need to install a bushing on the outside of the shaft to push the wheel all the way into the gear and be able to tighten nut securely. Fortunately I did have some pipe and was able to fabricate the bushing to the right length. My bushing size was from a 3/8 peace of pipe and 1/2" long. Yours might difference. Good Luck.

These come with gears cut in the back. My original tires didn’t have that. But, this is all they sell now on here. I did find the original for $33 per tire on Troy Bilt web site, but this product works just the same. These feel a touch heavier. You don’t need washers like others have said. They are designed to have a little play in them. They roll with no restrictions. If you tighten with washers the wheel might not roll as smooth, like a brake is on. These work great, I can recommend them.
