Rear Disc Brake Adapter for Gary Fisher Trek Klein Frames 160mm Post Mount Disk

Used this to put BB7's on a 2002 Trek 4500 and it all went together with no trouble. Couple of adapters out there, but this one lets you mount brakes directly to the adapter - others enlarge the holes from 43mm to 51mm IS, THEN you add the IS-to-post adaptor that comes with your brakes, THEN the brake. To me it seems like fewer flex/failure points. LBS told me I was nuts to upgrade such an old bike, obviously that's your personal call, but if you're looking to add discs to an old Trek frame, this is the way to do it.

Product works great! I didn't initially understand the difference between the original model & universal model, but quickly discovered that I needed the universal model after ordering the original model. Both models fit the frame perfectly, like they were an OEM product. I contacted Sellution Components about an exchange and they promptly replied that an exchange was NO PROBLEM, which it wasn't. Amazing product if you have an older frame and want to use disc brakes, not even super difficult to true up the wheel with this thing on there. Would highly recommend, you can mount the brakes right to this.

Fit my Trek 4300 perfectly with caliper aligned for 160 mm rotor. Appears to be well made.

I used this to convert a 2001 Gary Fisher Sugar 1 to disc brakes, worked perfectly.
