Great charger for almost all batteries, can be used as a portable power bank!
This is a fantastic charger at a great price. It can charge two 18650 batteries at 1amp each, IF you have a charger base capable of 2amps, if you plug it into a 1a charger it will only charge at 1amp for one battery, or 0.5amp for each battery when two are in the charger. One of the reasons I bought this specific model is the "power bank" feature, you can plug an iphone or micro usb cord in it with a 18650 in the charger slot to charge your phone or electronics. This is a fantastic feature for camping, because I can bring all of my 18650s to use not only for flashlights but to charge everyones phones, and with most 18650 batteries being 3,000mah or more I have plenty of juice for everything I need, for multiple people and multiple days. The digital screen that shows estimated charge time and percentage is great too, although I find it to slightly overestimate the time to fully charge. Overall it's a solid charger and worth every

Fantastic Charger
Love this charger. Very fast with an option to change from .5 to 1.0 amps. It will charge many types of batteries from small (AAA) to large (C and D) Nimhs. I mostly use mine for 18650 Lithiums for my mountain bike lights. This charger makes it really easy to balance batteries as each battery charges independently from each other. In other words you can charge only 1 battery if you want to. My favorite features are the percent of charge complete and time remaining for each battery. It takes a few minutes for the charger to give an accurate percent and time remaining. I will update in a month for a longevity report. My only gripe is I didn't buy the 4 channel one (VC4)! :) Thanks and I hope this helps.Update. Still working perfectly!!

I would classify this product as 'nifty'
*Pay no attention to the fact that the diagram (2nd photo) is not in English. I think that just means the advertising department of this company is not keeping their end of the bargain up with the engineers. I say that because this charger, for lack of better words, is neat, neato...eh, lets go with nifty. First, it works. It charges my batteries. Second, the screen and indicator lights would be well at home on the deck of the starship enterprise...the 1970's version. Or remember when you were a kid and your uncle bought you a battery operated police car or fire truck? All those mysterious colored lights making it the neatest Christmas present of the bunch? Same feeling here. So really what you have is a battery charger with a personality that sort of tickles. Oh, and the USB charging is really convenient...*DISCLAIMER - I have been using this charger for a total of 10 hours, so take this review as you will...

Poor circuitry :(
I really loved this smart universal charger as it was fast, capable of charging all my different batteries and I could read the progress of the charging. However after using it for a few weeks, maybe every 3rd day, the plug for the USB connector failed at the port that goes into the charger. It didn't last long enough to make it worth the money sadly. They need to do a better job on their circuitry :(

Awesome charger, really like it. Proven travel companion.
Have used this charger for my 18650's for well over a year and can say that it's one of my better chargers. It's simple, plugs into any USB port and will charge at at least .5A. Sometimes it won't stay selected at 1A but I feel like that is a function of the power supply not providing enough juice for constant 1A charging. I could be wrong but 1A charging also isn't really a huge priority for me so I'm alright with keeping that question in the dark. One thing I love about it is that it's so awesome to travel with. I've taken mine all across the country and across the pond a few times. It's never faltered or given me pause in any way that it needs to be repaired or replaced. The charging cable isn't bent in funky ways, nor have I noticed any wear on the cable itself and I really wrap that thing up! I'm not exactly nice to my chargers and subject them to freezing cold, heat, vibration from trains and busses, shock from dropping luggage, etc..This thing is a trooper. It packs up light and small and won't get in your way while in your bag. I do sometimes wish I could turn off the (SUPER bright) blue glow of the LCD screen (mostly when I'm trying to sleep) but all said, it's fantastic. Looking into a 4-bay option due to it's reliability, compactness and ease of seeing an approximation of the percentage of charge from the batteries installed in the bay at any given time as well as the time remaining to achieve a full charge.

Good charger!!
I bought this charger to charge up my 18650 batteries for my vapor box. I also bought a couple of brand new 18650's (yellow LGs) to go with it. I already own a MC1 charger so, that influenced my purchase of this brand. Here are my results so far:It's a really nice looking unit with a great display. The one thing that's missing though is a volt meter but that's no big deal. It comes with a nice travel bag but, for some reason, it smelled like leather oil. Maybe some kind of water-proofing solution? Hopefully that odor goes away after time. When I first plugged it in and inserted the new batteries, I ran it through a USB 2.0 port on my PC. The charging times for each battery seemed to fluxuate quite a bit for the first hour or so. I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in and it seemed to "calibrate" itself to a certain degree. I did this a couple of times until the readings looked "normal".Another thing I noticed was that in the first couple hours of charging, it would only charge at 0.5 amps. If I tried to switch into 1 amp mode it would default back to 0.5 automatically. Then, as if by MAGIC, I finally got it to stay in 1.0 amp mode which, obviously, reduced my displayed charging time in half. Maybe it was because of the new batteries, I don't know.Overall, it works well!!
