Mm. These journals are well-made, great for fountain pen usage (no bleed-thru), paper is handmade with character. Not *smooth* smooth, but smooth enough for EF nibs! ❤️😃🙌🏻I got one... then two more, then another... because these are so stellar and I love owls so flipping much! I may get more, so as to have emergency gifts for people. Fantastic leather smell, no “toxic smell” of gasoline or anything others have said. I think that may be a particular shipper, and their storage issues, because each journal I have is Perfect and smells fantastic.HIGHLY recommend!!!

My son in law is 40 years old and loves to draw. He is getting ready for an emotional meeting with his biological mother. He has a daughter to introduce her to. This meeting is the first time he will see her and remember. They haven’t spoken in years. I got this for his drawings and his emotions. He loved it.

Started an Icewind Dale Campaign for DnD and this fit perfectly. Love the texture of the pages. They were thick enough so ink doesn't bleed through. I'd recommend this book alone for the pages. My only problem is the lock at the front. Because of how it's on the cover, it makes writing on the backside of pages pretty difficult.
