Bought on a recommendation that it has a very long life, lasting many years longer. The color is exceptionally bright and rich, a standout from usual colors. The paint itself seemed to be thicker, with less of it sinking into raw wood, and better coverage on the second coat. Drying in the sun took only fifteen minutes or so, as I was able to begin the second coat as soon as I got around the hive to where I began. This yellow fluoresces brightly in the sun, and reflects heat well. The wood is cool to touch in the hot sun compared to other paints. So for that effect, it is great for the hive. Longevity I can't say about for some years yet.
