Wing Chun Wooden Dummy: Become a Master Infighter

This is awesome. It came in without any damage. Well made heavy as can be but it does its job wonderfully. I would highly recommend even if you’re just getting started. Wing chun Kung Fu black sash/black belt.

I have been practicing Wing Chun for over 5+ years now and although I am not at the Wooden Dummy level yet, I have acquired enough knowledge to have a general idea if a Wing Chun book is good or not. This is the 2nd Mook Yan Jong book I have read and because of the brief and straight forward descriptions on the color photographs, it helps the reader understand the step-by-step process in a clear and concise manner.

I purchased a wooden dummy to assist with my martial arts training and conditioning and I'm so glad that I did. But I wanted more guidance in other ways to use it, particularly traditional use. This book assists in doing that with clear photos and easy to read information.

He, and his team, did a great job on producing this book. He went into detail on history of the whole art itself, as well as the history of the mook jong. He also explained when one is ready to start practicing this form, as well as many other essential things.My only downside is that if you do not know the form, and have a skilled sifu to teach you, you can not learn from a book. You will not see the transitions from technique to technique. Which this is not putting his efforts down because you can see they did their best in trying to show you throw the many pictures. But it is best to learn this form with a sifu around you.Thank you for this book because you helped me deepen my vocabulary on different techniques. My sifu would get fustrated with me for not learning the names of the different hand forms, but was impressed for how quickly I could learn the form itself. I have been practicing this form for years.Again, great book with a lot of illustrations.

This is a real keeper written from one who is the real deal. Im thankfully that Wing Chun is no longer a secretive art and one is able to pass down knowledge without retaliation. However.... a book is no substitute for a qualified instructor I say this without a qualified instructor the nearest dojo for this discipline is 350 miles away, so the book is huge because of this obstacle. Thank you Sifu Koral for making this knowledge available to interior Alaska.

What I like about this book is that it is well documented for the first 33pagesBut after that the dummy form was not that clear the writing under the pictures are too small, sifu Korol body is blocking his hands.Where in you cannot see the movement or the placement of his hand on the wooden dummy

So informative, and so well-written. I simply love this book. Highly recommended!!
