Nine Days to Welcome Peace

I have had this book now for years. I read it daily, repeatedly since I first found it. It’s simple in that it’s not wordy or fluffy. It’s just truthful and deeply profound. I believe it has brought me closer to Jesus. I was once very afraid. Now I know God’s mercies endure forever and Peace from Him is possible!

Fr. Jacques imparts transforming truths in a straightforward way. This is a book to read prayerfully and slowly. If you do this, I believe you will digest truths that will bring you peace of heart even in our crazy times!

Often in our walk with Jesus its not the volume of information but the quality. I stayed with each meditation for more that one day. I wanted each one to sink in as much as possible. I also wanted to try to memorize each scripture. I got a fair amount. Its been a couple months since I went thru the book. At this time I go back to it for a "refresher".The battle isn't over until He calls us home.Thank you Fr. Jaques!PS All your books have been helpful. The,, Inner Peace book, made a very good companion to this one.

This little book of reflections repeats many of Fr. Philippe's themes: abandonment to God's will, trust in God, the sacrament of the present moment. Each day's reading took only a few minutes, but helped me slow down and focus on what might be preventing me from experiencing his peace in my life.

I think anyone would be pleased with this book ! excellent!

Great reflection

In keeping with Father Philippe's ever-gentle and consoling style, this little volume is a masterpiece. It's small but packed with nuggets of gold, and would take years to fully exhaust its beautiful meditations. This is definitely a book I'll return to many times. I felt as if Our Lord was speaking straight to my heart on each page. I highlighted so many passages that I might as well just have taken a yellow paintbrush to the whole thing! I've just ordered extra copies to give to friends. Thank you, Father Philippe, for yet another priceless treasure!

Excellent book! Wonderful way to start the day and to live in peace!
