MEASUREMENTS INCLUDED at the end of this review, with pictures. I am so pleased. The strap is nice and thick; I've seen other folks' straps that look rather bedraggled because they are so flimsy. Easy to slide loose or taut--but not so easy that it slides on its own. (That was once concern I had about a similar strap with those little metal loops that the straps slid through; I was worried it would loosen). Very comfortable. Even if I throw my mat in a corner, the straps stay in place.A favorite feature for me is that this strap doubles as a stretching strap. It's not very long compared to stretching straps (measurements below) and I'm only 5'4" (though I'm not super flexible) so this might not work for taller or inflexible people or those who like lots of extra strap trailing behind. But it's long enough for me and I like that I can hang onto the loops or even cinch them around my hands to make stretching easier. In fact, if the strap were much longer, the loops would be too far down the strap to be useful for holding while stretching. Not only did I not have to purchase a separate strap for stretching positions, I don't have to haul it around.With the strap pulled taught and the loops as small as possible, the strap measures about 5ft (60in). Add in a couple extra inches for the loops, and the strap is probably about 65 inches total (though some of that is lost to the loops, as I said). With my thin/average mat in place in the loops, it leaves about 3 ft for the strap/handle that slings over my shoulder. I'm 5'4" and it hits me at my hip. When using it for stretching, there is about 2+ feet of strap on either side to hold onto (counting leaving some loop to grab). I should post pictures of that, if I remember. The the strap itself is a fixed length, the loops that hold your mat are completely adjustable to tiny--almost nonexistent--or big enough to fit a thick mat--though it will affect how much length is left for the strap/handle that you would wear on your shoulder. This will definitely hold a thick mat, but it would sit shorter on you.

I use this strap as a skate leash for my roller skates. It is the perfect length! The material doesn’t pick up debris or seeds when I set my skates down in the grass at a park to lace up for a trail skate. It is lightweight and soft, and folds nicely into my string bag while I skate. I didn’t know how much I would love having a skate leash, but there’s no comfortable place to hold skates for a walk of any distance if you are an outdoor skater and have to sometimes traverse some ground to get to the path. I use this strap almost daily, sometimes several times in a day, and I never want to be without it!

I purchased the 66" mat strap in red to carry a rubber AND a cotton mat. The 66" strap was a little too tight when I inserted both of my two mats, I needed to be able to sling it over my back for biking to classes. I sent a suggestion back that they produce a longer mat strap and I was contacted by Ellie, a co-founder of the company, saying they had just launched an 85" map strap that would be perfect for me. I got it today and slipped my mats into the strap and VOILA! The strap fits perfectly over my shoulder even with 2 mats inserted. It holds them tightly so I don't have to worry about the mats falling out as I bike to class.The stitching and workmanship is top notch. I can see myself utilizing this mat strap for many years to come! The customer service was excellent, and their response to my email was immediate and went above and beyond! Throw in their Special "Namaste" Lifetime Warranty and you have a winning product!

I just started back with Yoga after a year hiatus. The two times I have gone since receiving the strap was good and the strap appeared to be of great quality, strength, and construction. I am 6ft+ so I purchased an XL Yoga Mat and then this strap, this strap carry’s it well and feels great. I like the way this strap is built as opposed to the one that came with my wife’s Yoga Mat. Hers has buckles that you have to keep figuring out how to thread the strap back through to get the loop in order to use it each time. This strap is much more user friendly and there is no confusion on how the loops work. I normally use rings for the assist on my legs rather than the strap, but I feel that this strap could easily handle that use as well. I may move over to the strap because I believe it can handle that use. Great strap for the price. I am thinking of ordering a red one and giving my wife this black one.

I needed a mat holder for my Manduka Pro yoga mat because it didn't fit in my yoga bag. This was inexpensive and got better reviews than some of the more expensive choices. It was a good choice. While it is easy enough to loosen the ends to slip over my rolled mat, once it is in place and pulled tight it stays put whether you are carrying it or storing it. The strap is long enough to accommodate the thickness of my mat and still slip easily over my shoulder. I'm not walking long distances with it because I drive to the studio, but I feel pretty confident it would stay secure if needed. I also liked that it came in a choice of colors, and I was able to get the light blue (which is an aqua blue) to coordinate with my bag. Not a big deal, but it was a nice addition to the affordable price and good quality.It arrived exactly when it was promised, packed securely.I have no hesitation recommending this and would buy it again, but why would I need to? This one looks like it will last forever. There are no "parts" to break, and the construction is really sturdy.

I recently started a yoga class, and although I had a really good yoga mat, I didn’t have a carrier, which became a real nuisance trying to carry it to and from class along with everything else. I didn’t realise you could buy a carrier on its own without the mat. This canvas strap is perfect. It’s so easy to adjust, looks like it will last for ages, and is comfortable to wear on the shoulder. Makes it so much easier! I keep it on the mat for storage, which stops the stupid thing unrolling all the time!

Love it. the colour...etc. I'm using it with a really fat yoga mat & it also helps me with my stretches. It's really sturdy and will probably last longer than the mat!

I hesitated before buying this because I wondered if it was a bit expensive. I’m very impressed with the quality though. It does the job and looks like it will last. I bought it in pink and I’m really pleased with the colour. It looks more expensive than it was.

Clever & simple design which works well. Ideal for any thickness of mat (mine is 6mm) as it adjusts to fit. Very good quality.

I bought the Yoga Strap to carry my yoga mat so that I can jog to my yoga class and it does the job beautifully.I plan to use the strap in my yoga routine but started yet but i am sure it will be good for that too due to the cotton material its made out of.
