Since styrofoam is no longer an option in CA, this paper cup is the next better thing. It’s strong and sturdy. Would definitely buy it again.

Do not hesitate to purchase these. I run a coffee hr at my church every month so I’m using these cups often and I need lots of them. Everyone comments on how easy they are to hold because of the ridges. ESP older people w athritis. You DO NOT need a sleeve to protect your hands, and they keep the coffee hot for quite awhile. I will continue to buy. Because of the ridges, the cups can be hard to pull apart, so I do so beforehand so people don’t have to struggle with them holding up the coffee line. A+++++

We purchased these to use for church coffee service-the cups are fine, ours never leaked like other reviews. Our problem is the lids are difficult to snap on-they crush before they are secure. Many of our guests are elderly-the 2 handed, equal application of pressure while sliding around in a circle with the thumbs with the cup on a flat surface is not really doable. We switched to another cup that the lid snaps on easily without a training session first.
