I am totally pleased with this futon. First the mattress comes early. That is because it has to expand , it take up to 72 hrs for it to be fully expanded. So when the frame comes it’s ready to be put on the frame . The instructions were clear,the parts were packed extremely well. You can tell it didn’t come from China!!!! I was looking at day beds to fill the space but after reading many reviews I chose this. I am extremely happy I chose this way. It is so comfortable , I’ll be taking my afternoon naps in here I think. Lol. This is a quality product, you can tell when you unpack it. This company cares. !!!!

Good quality frame and the mattress is heavy and thick. Instructions were well written. Note that it came in three separate shipments so look for emailed tracking numbers.

Be aware the futon came in three boxes within 3-4 days of each other and the first box came about a week after being ordered so plan for at least two weeks from ordering. We only had tracking info for the first box and would not have known there were multiple boxes except for the other reviews. The futon is very sturdy and took 3-4 hours to set up. The mattress is more comfortable than a typical “college futon“ or sleeper sofa, but obviously no replacement for a bed. We are using it in a man cave/family room mostly as a couch but also has extra sleeping space on family visit. It looks nice though not fancy and work great for what we needed it for.

We purchased both a full and queen size of this futon for our Airbnb. They look nice and fold out into nice beds as well. People tell us all the time how comfortable they are. I do use a mattress cover, but there is little padding in that.There are quite a few loose threads hanging around the zipper that need to be clipped...hopefully this doesn't indicate issues. We've had these for over year now and lots of guests have used them without problems.Unlike the video, it is NOT easy for a single person to put these down without removing the mattress. My husband always needs to help.The outer material is nice...it seems to wipe clean. We tend to get a lot of smudges from dirty kid's fingers etc. And it only takes a wet cloth to wipe it clean.The queen size does seem to slip down a bit and it needs to be re-adjusted sometimes. It's difficult for a single person to do that too. The frame seems a bit too small for the size of the mattress. Nevertheless, I just ordered a burgundy colored queen size for our upstairs...although this time I ordered the one with the flip out trays for beverages or whatever. I kinda wish I would have ordered that feature on the others too. I'm looking forward to receiving that one.Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

TLDR: This is a good futon frame. If there is a way to get the frame and buy a mattress separately do that. The smell is really bad. My husband has bad allergies, and very bad sense of smell and he can smell the paint smell on the futon.My main issue with this futon is the mattress. It smells so strongly of paint the room is unusable. Its like when you paint a room and are waiting for the paint to dry, except there is no paint, and the smell permeates the whole room. We have had the window in the room open for more than 24 hours, with a dyson air purifier and fan running in the room and it still smells strongly of paint. Unfortunately the smell of the futon mattress is so bad it renders the rest of the futon unusable.In addition the mattress has these unappealing white stitches that look like they should have buttons on them but don't...you can't see that the mattress has those from the photos, but that is what is causing the dimpling look. Its odd they wouldn't have made those red.I have contacted the seller, and am hoping they can either assist with removing the smell, or offer a way that we can get a new mattress or a refund for just the mattress.The futon itself is sturdy and well constructed. I was happy with the size, wood quality, and its really very nice. The only call out I have about the construction is that the additional legs for when the Futon is in the 'bed' position on the queen version of this futon are not very sturdy. They are not secured with any kind of nut, it' just one long screw that sticks out of them and they are supposed to swing in and out.

The frame and mattress look nice but the mattress has to be taken off the frame to convert from bed to couch. The sliding tracks are milled wood recesses and have too much friction and weight on them for a single person to change from bed-to-couch. Couch-to-bed can be done with one person (gravity assists you).We have used this item in a short term rental. Eventually many of the screw connections became loose because people had to use so much tugging and pulling to try to change between the bed and couch position. We have had a guest's child wet the bed (the futon mattress) and there is no way to mitigate this so now looking to replace the mattress. In other words, the mattress is a bit hard to keep clean especially if you don't use a liquid barrier sheet.In conclusion, it looks nice and is pretty comfortable but a real pain to switch positions and a bit hard to keep it looking (and smelling) nice.

Made very sturdy, mattress is great and very easy to put together just time consuming.
