It’s a starter kit. Good for learning but the scents are very similar. All have the same gummy hints that are only good for air fresheners. Probably it’s an issue of contamination due to using the same mixing tools without washing them properly. All in all, this product will provide a good experience for beginners but don’t expect satisfying mixtures.

The review title says it all. And in truth, I've played around with a few of the bottles myself to make some home-made cologne that I really liked.It's been a fun and educational process for us both. If you're new to this, it's definitely a good kit to get started.We got a stand to organize the bottles and make it easier to access them.Tip! When inserting the eye droppers, squeeze the air out of their bulbs first, then suck some of the bottle contents into the eye dropper as you push the eye dropper into the bottle. Otherwise the bottle may overflow and you waste some of the liquid. This is not a problem, just a tip to help you get the most out of your kit.

Instructions and recipes would have been nice. The recipes that were included required oils not in the kit. And the bottles were over filled requiring you to dump some out to add the dropper.

I love this kit! I haven't used it yet to make perfumes bc it's so perfect and pretty. The company was amazing and accommodating and I would buy this again.

My lovely wife bought this kit for my daughter and I on my birthday last year. It is impressive. Not only did the included booklet help succinctly clarify perfumery terms (like the difference between cologne, eau de toilette, and perfume), but it included helpful lessons on carriers, how to mix notes to build a GOOD perfume.A few complaints mar this otherwise perfect kit: 1. The Tobacco and Lemon Verbena are nastily bitter. I’m not sure why, but ick. Second, they only send a miserly number of 1 dram bottles. Seriously, a teenager can make a whole lot of mixes of oils in a very short amount of time.Still playing with the kit after 9 months, and still buying oils from Vetiver.

I was so pleased with my purchase of this kit. The amount of oils you receive is incredible, and the book is concise and clear (and mentions things such as manufacturing standards for sale, where to find additional fragrance oils and supplies, etc.). I've been having an enormous amount of fun with it, and can't wait to add to my oil collection soon!
