Incredible product
Fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. Padding is thick and provides a ton of protection for both the shin and top of your foot.I'm 5'11" 160lbs with longer legs and a size M fits me perfectly. I also recommend wearing ankle supports w/grips underneath for added comfort & grip on the mats. This is my first Venum product purchase and I am very impressed with the quality, especially for the price. If you're in the market for new shin guards, you won't be disappointed in these.

Very good product
I have had it for 2 years this month and no issues. Good quality, durable and the only wear I’ve had is that the letters are fading. I train 2-3 times a week.

5’11 and Medium size. Amazing!
Getting started in muay thai recently and I am happy about this choice. Friends in the community recommended me venum as a starter and Im satisfied with the product. As a reasonably tall guy around 199 pounds, the length is perfect and functions as expected. The shinguard stays in place and it fits right below the knee. Shinguards shouldn’t go higher than your knee.Padding is reasonable but I expect to condition my shins after a few months in. So do not expect for leg kicks to not hurt. It is part of the sport.

These are legit!
I put these through 15 rounds of sparring on the first use, and I am impressed. Although we were at around 65% effort these things didn't slide or slip one bit. They withstood kicks when checking with almost no feeling. I'll have to see how they perform over the next several months of Muay Thai, but IMO they are performing better than my others ( I won't name the brand) that were nearly twice the cost! Stay tuned...

Finally a shin pad with real protection !
Great Shin Pads ! I recently hurt my instep in Muay Thai sparring with a misplaced kick bruising the top of my foot. I have 6 different leading brands of shin pads that I use frequently when Muay Thai sparring. I could always feel my shin & instep being impacted when my kicks were being checked. I never trusted any of them to protect my thin 60 years old bones (145 lbs) so I never kicked hard. Yesterday I put on my new Venum Elite Standup Shinguards & went to the Mauy Thai club. After testing a few light kicks I blasted away on a much larger opponent with no problems. I checked his heavy leg kicks and had my heavy kicks checked (blocked with upper shin). I never felt the kicks at all through the pads ! These Shin Pads provide Great protection ! They are super light, with a tight fit with and did not slip or need adjustment in a full 90 minute class including sparring. These are the best Muay Thai shin pads for sparring & drills that I have ever worn. I am waiting for another brand that are already in the mail but I certainly won't need them. These are Amazing & worth every penny !

Excellent foot gear - but think about your techniques
I train in karate - independent dojo with Kyokushin roots, spar once a week and play Pat-a-cake with a heavy bag about once a week between. Up until now I have used the standard "painted foam" kicks and some cloth shin pads. Works OK, but the kicks are clunky and maybe last a year or two tops. I have reached the point in training where I realized I'm going to be doing this as long as my body lets me so spending $30 a year on something clunky and disposable started looking foolish. I bought these and they are excellent quality and way lighter than I would have guessed from their thickness. I did not have the knee-limiting problem some have noted - I'm 5'6" and neither beefy nor cut-up lean. Mobility and design are excellent. The drawback for me is that these are very much built for roundhouse or front kicks striking with the top of the foot. There's no padding on the heel - so if you allow axe kicks, hook kicks/ura mawashi geri in sparring you need to keep tight control. They also aren't going to flex laterally enough that you can strike with the blade edge of the foot for side kicks. So absolutely excellent for what they do; but sadly limiting if you use some techniques. If only these (or any decent shin/foot guards!) had heel padding; five stars easy. Likewise if you are a Muay Thai fighter these things probably work like a dream.
