Good and clear instruction
I am totally new to Qi Gong and went to follow someone do it twice as I purchased this dvd. Let's talk about Qi GOng and the product sepearately.DVD itself and practise -1) This dvd has introduction section; educates you about different pressure points as they will be used in the exercise. Then there are 2 sets of practise, one hour each. One is standing and one is sitting practise.2) Standing one, starts with stretching, followed by stimulating of different pressure points and finally, the movement of QI. Time is equally allocated to each section. I have to do it about 6 times (2 times a week) to start feeling the sensation of Qi but found the practise useful as I do more.3) STanding practise is more of stretching, relaxing, and calming down exercise4) After following standing practise for 2 months, 2-3 times a week, it gives me a result of "mini" acupuncture treatment after doing each session, therefore, useful.ABout Qi Gong itself -For beginners, I suggest you follow a structured and good form of QI Gong. IT does move the energy channel in your body so if you do it wrong, it could be harmful. I learned that "Ba Duan Jin" is a good beginning point but there are many styles. Try to find a more original one from China, that will be my recommendation. There are practise group who will lead you wtih Qi GOng exercise and they come in many forms. I don't know if it is good or not but I tried one, it lasts 30 mins. A very mild movement but the stretching exercise did hurt my hernea disc. Be careful with the stretching exercise itself. Is this dvd a good one for beginner? I said,ok if you don't too many aches and pain on your physical. First 2 times, you need to use "pause" button as you do it and make sure you do it correctly. BE PATIENT until you understand all the movement. But after 2 times, you shuld be able to follow it through. Don't do it half way as the energy flows in your body needs beginning and end point. The instruction is clearly demonstrated and I can follow it successfully.Does this exercise heal your ailment? Well, the result of practise is it does move the energy flow and clear out some obstruction in different points. I felt the difference after doing it each time. I belive if your energy and blood flow well and reach where they suppose to reach, your body will self heal and maintain itself.

Clear, informative and easy to follow instructions - so good I had to buy it!
My habit is to borrow DVD's and books from the library. If I want to continue using the DVD's or books after my renewal option runs out, I return them and borrow again. I was 8th in line for this DVD and now that I have it, I can see why.First, I found the introduction clear, informative and inviting, being fairly new to qi gong. (Have watched and memorized 2 other qi gong DVD sequences.)Second, Lee Holden's instructions are simple! He doesn't rush, yet covers a lot of ground, including information on the meridians as he moves, and telling what the moves are good for. And I can watch and follow along easily because his movements are in mirror image.Third, Lee's voice is nice to listen to and is easy to understand because it is not drowned out by background music, as I experienced with another DVD Qi Gong for Cleansing (this cleansing sequence is beautiful by the way, and pretty easy to learn too.)Fourth, he covers the hands, arms, shoulders, neck, head, chest, solar plexus, rib cage, abdomen, pelvis, back, organs, thighs and lower legs in the standing sequence. The sitting sequence is not as comprehensive, but includes a pleasant, relaxing guided visualization meditation.Fifth, I've used the standing sequence for 3 consecutive days. Each time, I felt better than the previous time I did it. The first day was after experiencing an emotionally upsetting event. I felt pretty bad. The sequence grounded me, leaving me feel lighter like I dropped the emotional baggage. The second time following along left me feeling significantly more energized. Today, the third day, I did the sequence first thing in the morning and wow! My day and evening have been great. Everything just flows more smoothly when you feel good :). The difference between having energy blockages in the body and having free flowing energy throughout the body is something that has to be experienced to be believed, it seems. I'm truly amazed lol.Sixth, the ease in doing the sequences and the great way I feel afterwards motivates me to continue!Although I'm not claiming that your experience will be the same as mine because each of us is different, I whole heartedly recommend it to you if your goal is to either feel better yourself or help a loved one feel better by giving this as a gift.

Relaxing and Energizing
I've used this video several times per week for the past three weeks. It's divided into a standing practice and a sitting practice. On some days, I do both. On other days, I do one or the other. I love both sets of exercises. The standing practice makes me feel relaxed and energized at the same time, while the sitting practice leaves me feeling warm and relaxed.Lee Holden's voice is soft and comforting. He demonstrates the exercises very clearly and explains the benefits of each exercise. I like that the exercises are done mirror image, so that I can do exactly what I see him doing, and I don't have to translate the movements between right and left.I do have one piece of constructive criticism for tech support: When each segment ends, the screens that say "Sitting Practice," "Standing Practice," and also the main menu are too bright. It's fine during the day, but if the sun goes down while I'm doing Qigong and I don't have many lights on in the room, it hurts my eyes when the exercises finish and those super bright green and white screens come on. The brightness during the exercises themselves is fine; it's just the menu screens that are too bright. Maybe they could just be green, instead of green and white.Overall, I am very happy with this video. I plan to buy some of Lee Holden's other Qigong videos, too.

Got all his DVD's big fan. This is very much a healing video and is kinda medical Qi Gong and it works. Got rid of my tennis elbow that I had for 1 year and has really helped me with my guitar playing. I am a pro musician and get problems all over my back and arms due to long live sessions and bad posture. I also spend a lot of time at the computer as I am a part time programmer too. I am 48 which doesn't help either. His other video "am and pm" is better for Qi Gong practice as its excellent and is more a standing meditation. If you are interested in QI Gong then buy all his stuff.Bought twice as my 18 month year old ate the first copy before I backed up. When the second copy arrived I found the original under the sofa with a ham sandwich and a load of lego!

Better than my other two Qi Gong purchases that were NOT BY LEE HOLDEN
Not a workout in the common sense of that word. However, it is very informative, calmly presented, clear and if you are focused the studio enviroment, that some have complained about, will make absolutely no dofference to you - Plus feeling the flow of chi/prana will be felt and therein are the benefits.I would suggest this as a first Qi Gong DVD for anyone who is just starting out or who has not felt the energetic flow and centering via Yoga, Tai Chi etc.Well worth the price and will fill in the blanks of many other DVDs on Qi Gong

Powerful
This is an excellent video for beginners. The demonstrations of the exercises are clear and easy to follow. The effects are remarkable. There are two sessions, one that is longer if you have more time and one that is shorter. Both bring wonderful benefits. I wish someone had told me about this years ago.

Healing Qigong
This is a very well done DVD,with a little booklet explaining the principle of acupuncture and so on. The instructor is extremely clear in his movements and explications, though I found that it is not for beginners.Perhaps a beginners as myself has better start with a Dvd with ,for example The 8 pieces of brocade. Easier and clear approach to Qigong. I will save though my Dvd for later to do my exercises.
