Expired Product
I ordered my Honey Stinger waffles on July 4, and they arrived on July 15. I went to eat my first waffle during a run on July 20. My first thought when I opened the package was that it smelled old. I've never had these waffles before, so I thought maybe I just wasn't familiar with the way they smell and was being unfairly critical. But then I bit into it, and it was disgusting. It tasted old and stale and gross. I then examined the package more closely and saw that it expired on May 12! So they sent me a product that had expired 2 months before I ordered it. Complete waste of money and it left me hanging in the middle of run when I was relying on the waffle for fuel. It also left me with a negative feeling towards Honey Stinger, which is a bummer since I've heard good things.

"crummy" packaging
I had never tried these waffle snacks before, so decided to order the variety pack. I haven't tasted every flavor yet, just lemon. I'd give it 4 of five stars. Frustrating thing for me is that the packaging was sub-standard, and some of the waffles were smashed. They arrived in a plastic bag. Opened a lemon flavor to check the damage and yep, lots of crumbs. Disappointing. See pictures.

Great Flavor Variety
I bought these after getting a sample of the original honey flavor in a fitness subscription box. They don't have great nutrition stats (mostly carbs in the form of sugar), but I do appreciate that it's sugars that are naturally occurring in the honey and fewer added sugars. It's nice if you're in a pinch pre-workout and haven't had sufficient carbs beforehand. But I wouldn't recommend it as a quick snack anytime; only if you had immediate need for energy. Opt for something with more fiber or protein for non-active snacks. The flavor variety was pretty good. I think the original honey and the ginger or cinnamon were best. I had high hopes for chocolate, but it was so-so. No flavor stood out as particularly bad. They are very thin. The edges were crumbling by the time I received them in the mail. (None were expired, and there was enough time between receiving the waffles and their marked expiration date that I wasn't upset.) There was enough difference in texture between the filling and the "waffle crusts" that it's enjoyable. Not too one note.

Tasty and Light Energy Snack That's Easy to Digest.
Don't have to wait to receive these to make a review since I've tried all of their flavors already and really love these energy waffles. I'm a bicyclist and snacking to add burnable calories during long rides is essential. I've tried different types of power bars, granola bars, gummy chews and jells. To me nothing beats these Honey Stinger Waffles. I find that many bars are messy, or very dry and too chewy or both, Also they're bulky and harder to digest. No so with these Honey Stingers. These are tasty, light and moist and easy to munch on when riding. As an added benefit they're thin and light so you can carry a stack of 3 or 4 of these easily without feeling like you have a lump in your pocket. Since I've tried all of their flavors before, this sampler pack is a great value for the price compared to boxes or multi-packs of the single flavors. The only drawback to ordering these is that I like them so much I'll end up giving some to my friends, so they will try them, buy them and the Honey Stinger folks in Business.

WARNING—NOT GLUTEN FREE
WARNING—NOT GLUTEN FREEThe product page of this item at the time of ordering (see attached image) said gluten free. This version of the product is not. It is irresponsible and dangerous to list incorrect product information like that as you can (and did) make people ill. If you can change the product info to list the different flavor varieties you can change the product info to not say gluten free.

Tastiest exercise fuel out there
I honestly wish I didn't love these so much, because I want to eat them ALL the time. So far I've been eating them for a pre-run snack if I'm feeling hungry before I head out the door (trying to limit them to before hard workouts, or if my stomach is audibly growling before an easy run) - I'm not sure how well they'd hold up on a long run since they have a tendency to crumble up a little, but it would be a nice treat to look forward to in the later miles! I tried the sampler pack and really love all the flavors, though they are all pretty subtle. Lemon is probably the most underwhelming, which I"m ok with, since an intensely lemon-flavored waffle sounds gross to me.Sounds like it varies by the seller, but my pack arrived wrapped up in plastic in a padded mailer, and a lot of mine have had crumbly edges from getting knocked around a little in transit, so just be aware of that.

Most lack flavor
Packaging was a joke. Just put in a bag and put in the shipping envelope, as if the seller was pulling from boxes of single flavors to make a variety pack. Flavor: the only two that have much flavor were the ginger snap and the vanilla. The vanilla reminded me of cake frosting, almost too sweet. I got almost no flavor from any of the others. Might be better called “hint of strawberry” or “barely there chocolate.” I love the ginger snap and now order a box of just that flavor. They remind me of the “stroop waffle” you can get at Starbucks. Two thin waffles with a thin layer of filling, making them an easy eats on the trail when I’m tired and the energy and effort to eat a granola bar seem too much.

Too crum(b)y
I have tried to like these twice now. They are just so crumbly and barely fit on a coffee mug.I hate that I have to open the package up over a trash can or I will get crumbs all over the floor, that's just asking for ants. The texture of the outer cookie part also is very crumbling, gritty in your mouth which I just don't care for. The insides for the most part okay. I have left 1 on a coffee mug While I got my cat some water and when I came back I didn't realize that it was gone and started drinking my coffee it had fell in because it just barely fits the coffee cup.Honestly I'm not gonna order this brand again I will get Another brand even though these have been easier to find here. I prefer Daelmens but have seen Rip Van Winkles as well.
