3949237: Switch, Lid For Whirlpool Washer

Many months later (about 12!) and I am just as happy as the day I installed it. Absolutely zero problems and the price was very good.

Worked perfect. My washer stopped draining water and I was worried I had to replace the washer. Checked You Tube and found others had the same problem I showed how to fix it. Amazon seller had a great price and fast delivery. Saved me a boat load of money.

Installed this tonight. The switch housing seems to be sturdy and the spring tension feels nice and not too loose or tight. It's an exact match to my last one and fits perfectly. The tabs on the connector are solid and held in place nicely when I connected the control board to it. I have done 3 loads so far. I'll update this if anything changes. Very happy with this and it's much better to pay the $9.00 rather than paying a service tech to come out and do the labor.

EXACT REPLACEMENT PART. HAD TO REPLACE AFTER A YEAR, BUT THAT MIGHT BE EXPECTED WITH YOUNG TEENS WHO DON'T THINK NOT TO SLAM THE LID.

It was easy to install and fixed the problem instantly

What I found a slight problem was that the new connector did not mate with the old one. A simple splice job fixed that.
