Best brand on the market
This brand, either scented or unscented has proven to be the best in terms of absorbency and length of time it can last. Most cheaper pads are done with just one or two uses because the liquid spreads so far. These keep the liquid in a small area and keep your floor protected from damage. These are a few bucks more but are well worth it. They last 5x longer and you use so many less. These pads do a good job at keeping liquid on the pad and not underneath it when your pet doesn’t have perfect aim and gets too close to the edge of the pad. Sometimes it still happens and there’s some cleanup, but 95% of the time you are well protected. Dogs who have to be left inside during the day can use these until parents come home to let them out. Great for overnight emergencies, when your pet is sick and is going frequently, or for senior dogs who struggle with mobility issues. All 3 of my chihuahuas were easily trained to use these when we are unavailable to take them outside. We also had a senior dachshund who used them and she did well with them too. These pads are easily to pack for trip’s and they fit in small storage spaces whilst still providing adequate space for your babies to go potty. I use multiple of these at once and overlap the pads so there are no leaks since we have 3 dogs who use them sometimes. These are the only pads we’ve bought over the past 10 years or so and I tried about 10 brands that were no match to these. Buy with confidence!

Very happy
I have been buying the AKC pads for my four small dogs for 6 years. I have bought (to my horror) several hundred boxes of the pads according to the Amazon history. I thought using pee pads would be a great idea because I work long hours and I had planned to eventually downsize to a condo. Worst decision ever. I now have dogs that refuse to pee on grass, and I’ve never downsized. But I digress…Amazon has been out of the AKC brand so I decided to give this brand a try. When I pulled them out I laughed at the pathetically thin pads that look like tissue paper. Well the joke is on me. My dogs have put these pads to the test and not once have any of the pads leaked onto the tile. The AKC pads look far superior but the pee takes longer to soak in which can sometimes lead to urine leaking off the pads. This has not happened with the Hartz pads. I really can’t believe it. I didn’t think something this thin could soak up pee.Because the pads are thin, I have used them on my Swiffer XL to mop up water spills in my mud room. The XL pads are pricey but I don’t use it often so these pads are a great substitute for a quick mop up. They don’t tear apart which tells me the pads are stronger than they look. The dogs don’t seem to care which brand I use. They go to the “pad spot” and use anything laying there. If your dog is picky or wary of noises, these pads do make a little sound like tissue paper when they are walked on. It’s a slight noise…not enough to make them mistake the pads as something to destroy. I have one dog that just loves toys with a crinkle sound so was a bit worried but she hasn’t tried to shred them.I may continue using this brand even though the price is slightly higher than the $23 I was paying for 150 AKC pads. The fast absorbency has so far surpassed the two brands I tried other than AKC (Amazon basics and Wee). Also note: The AKC 100 package are not the same quality as the AKC 150 pads in a box. They are awful. I might as well let the dogs pee on the tile and mop it up. Do not buy the AKC 100 unless you are trying to ruin your floors!

Smaller dog pads
These pads are a good value. The plastic underside protects floor well.

Not ideal for bulk use
This product would probably be perfect for someone with a small dog that gets carried around in a purse. Someone who wants something that travels well? The manufacturers put something on the pads to cause the edges to lightly adhere to each other so that they stay nicely folded into tiny squares inside the package. The absorbent part is slightly fluffier/ softer than other pads. All this means that if you’re using them in bulk for a whole room, they are NOT ideal. They take longer to unfold and the slight stickiness on the rim along with the fluffiness of the middle sometimes sticks to rubber tennis shoes so they are harder to keep in place. They’re also smaller than other brands.

One of the best…
The UN-SCENTED version of this product is one of my favourite brands.. Good size.. Very good absorbent.. BUT in the past I paid better price to larger size of this product. It is a bit expensive. My Dog can NOT use the Scented versions which are less expensive but leaky and allergenic for my Dog. I recommend the UN-SCENTED version despite its high price. Thank you for asking.

Works for cats too!
We have a senior cat that recently decided that peeing multiple times a day in front of our bedroom closet is far easier than going into the litter box (her health is fine, we took her to the vet). I was frustrated having to get up at 2 am and clean the floor and thought I would try puppy pads, although I worried she may not like the feeling of them under her paws and find a new location. Thankfully, we have come to an agreement and she continues to pee near the closet, but on the puppy pads. These are highly absorbent and trap the urine, so no more creeping under the closet door into the closet. My floors are dry underneath, all I have to do is fold it into itself and throw it away. I still get up at 2 am to change the pad, but that is way less time consuming than having to clean the floor every night. Would I prefer she went back to using the litter box, yes, but is this an acceptable solution - 100%.

Not absorbent and do not gel as promised
These pads are useless and a waste of money. After using regular pee pads successfully for overnight but occasionally having them overloaded or leak over the edge, I saw these and thought they would be perfect since the gel would keep the urine from running over the edge. Ha! Not only do these not gel for large amounts of urine, the urine just runs off the pad on to the floor. Going back to the regular ones
