SAN44011 - Sanford Higgins Black Magic Waterproof Drawing Ink

I heard that India ink is good for coating the edge of lenses after making repair. This ink worked perfectly. I used a Q-tip as the applicator, and the enclosed dropper made it very easy to apply one or two drops to the Q-tip.I subsequently learned that the ink also does a great job of blacking scratches around screws and spanner rings.I highly recommend this product.

Lovely ink, good coverage, smooth (no graininess) and most important, it doesn't bleed or run when combined with watercolor in ink and watercolor drawings.

Great ink for my Parallel Pen. I wish it dried a bit faster since it smudges when i color over it too quickly, but hey, it's ink! nice permanent dark black tone.

This is the number 1 ink i use. Plus amazon makes it get here fast.

Oh, Black Magic! How I weep for thee! I used to use Higgins Black Magic exclusively, because it was inexpensive, but dried to a deep, rich, glossy black. I bought a whole bunch of it, and used it straight from the bottle on every project in front of me. When my supply ran out, I ordered a bunch more, only to find - to my shock - that they had changed the formula! Now, the Black Magic dries gray and matte, and places where areas of black overlap are clearly visible. I still keep some Black Magic on hand for when I need a flat, dark gray, but it is no longer my ink of choice for pen or brush. I now use the Speedball Super Black for everyday work, and the more expensive Sennelier China Ink for when I need the blacks to really sing.

This ink is a very rich black but you can achive a wide range of color gradince by adding water. I highly suggest this product.

It arrived with the box open. Not only was the box open, but the logo and writing on the box were completely faded and even off-center.

Nice black ink. I'd never used a dip calligraphy pen and this ink was perfect.
