Arrived promptly, actually 2 days earlier than the Amazon estimate.Comes well packaged with stand that you assemble yourself and a thin long flex able carving knife. Instructions are pretty good and help you to know which of the 2 cuts (leg or shoulder) you have and how to cut it including mounting and preparing the leg.I would say though that if you have never done this before there are always videos available online to show you visually how to do this which some people may find more useful than written instructions and can give you a little more confidence if you need it - always a good idea for an expensive piece of meat like this!!Only opened the ham up today for Christmas and had a few slices to nibble as an evening snack but so far so good. Not overly fatty as some reviews have said. For me it seems representative of other legs I've had meat from in the past.

I know there are lots of others on the Amazon website and some of them are double the price of this one. OK, I know the old adage is 'you get what you pay for', and so the more expensive ones you would expect to be better. But trust me, this one is not only great value it is delicious and I don't see how it could be improved upon by spending more. Buying another one for this Xmas.(Does anybody really like turkey?)

As you see I had to bin it. It looks good in the kitchen or on a table but that's just about it. The meat is bone dry and I managed to get maybe 300-400g of half-decent meat from 4kg.Not worth the money at all.

Well it is a shoulder, not a leg. Anatomically a shoulder is still a leg but in butchery terms it is not. The meat is terrific, but there is not a huge amount of it for the price. I have enjoyed it, but will not buy again.
