SPEENSUN Oyster Shucking Knife Set - 2 Knife and 1 Glove XL, Not Easy to Break or Bend, More Secure with Glove

These knives made shucking my holiday party oysters a breeze. It was my first time shucking. I watched a YouTube video and these knives popped them right open. Now that I know how easy it is, I’ll be getting oysters more often. If you’re on the fence - get them.

The two knives are excellent. Used them today and had very little trouble opening the oysters. The gloves are a nice addition but probably not the best.

The knife has a nice feel to it. This was my first time shucking oysters. The knife did a great job once I got the technique down (took an oyster or two). I did manage to bend the knife tip on one of the oysters before I was able to get the hinge to pop. The slight bend did not hamper my ability going forward. I am pretty sure the bend happened because of my technique, but I gave a 4 star rating because I do not know for sure. After I got into a groove, opening oysters was easy. I did not use the glove. I would recommend trying this set if you are interested in shucking your own oysters.

I got tired of stabbing my hand. Bought this when in Seattle visiting family and loved them. Left them in Seattle and bought a second set for home in Arkansas. Just can't find the oysters I like at home. Anxious to go back to Seattle next month. First stop is the store there for oysters.

The blade seems like it could be a little sturdier, but after more than several dozens of oysters, iI have come to really like them and they are holding up well. The wood handles and finish are very nice.

Ordered a set because I have had one of these types of knives for a very long time and they make a decent paring knife as well. Upon arrival and opening I noticed immediately the handle of one has a crack nearly the entire length of the handle, perhaps even glued. I see a potentially dangerous situation down the road if I were to utilize it in its current condition which makes it essentially worthless to me, even to return it I would have to drive 27 miles to the nearest drop location. Quite disappointed more than anything, had planned to give one to my son and keep one for myself.
