Delicious and Soft Chewy Nouget, Each Piece Individually Wrapped and Boxed Inside the Bigger Gift Box
My mom has a thing for soft Italian nougat - or Torrone as it is called. Every holiday either me or the kids insist on picking her up a couple bars of Torrone from our local CP World Market store. Unfortunately, once January or early February hits, her nougat stock plummets and she's left with nougat withdrawal until December rolls around again since no one sells Italian nougat outside of the holidays. After a search on Amazon, I was happy to discover that there are several varieties of nougat available, including La Florentine, and I bought her a variety for Mother's Day.The La Florentine Torrone was very well received by my mom. The nougat comes in three different flavors including vanilla, orange, and lemon. Each piece is individually wrapped and boxed within the larger gift box. My mom liked this for two reasons - one, because the nougat is portioned out, she's less likely to eat too much in one sitting, and two, she could share the nougat with everyone and everyone got their own little box. The nougat itself is pleasantly sweet, is full of crunchy almonds, and is nicely flavored of either vanilla, orange, or lemon. My favorite was the lemon, and I really enjoyed how the nougat was soft and chewy. Each nougat piece is sandwiched between a thin, flaky wafer - that wafer is edible, so don't try peeling it off!Overall, this is a really lovely box of nougats to gift. The candy is delicious and beautifully boxed. I definitely would buy this again for my mom.

Please God, stop me.
I grew up in a wonderfully diverse neighborhood during the 50's. We had wonderful folks from Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy and several other countries living all around us. One day the Italian woman (called Aunt Rosie by all the kids) gave me some Torrone candy. I thought it was the best candy I'd ever eaten, and I loved candy more than any kid in my neighborhood.Sometime in my late teens early 20's I discovered La Florentine Torrone in our local Italian delicatessen. I went after that Torrone the way a man would go after a pond if his head was on fire. Now I live out in cow country in a county that literally has more cow's than people. I recently discovered La Florentine Torrone on Amazon. I'm hoping no friends or family see this, but I ordered 4 boxes of it, and yup, here it is, I ate all 4 boxes in 24 hours. I know, I know, that much sugar isn't good for me, and it's really bad when your Ketogenic, but I couldn't stop myself. I'm pushing 70 years old now, and this is still the best candy I've ever eaten. I've purchased over $100.00 of it in the last few months, (very few) and as I sit here and finish off the last of the three boxes I ordered the other day, I've decided that this is the only candy I absolutely cannot have in my house ever again. Well... maybe just for the rest of this month. Thank goodness it's February 25th.

Yuck !!
I have purchased this candy at Mom & Pop deli's over the last 20 years. This was the first I purchased it from Amazon, and it was disgusting !I tried to eat 3 different boxed, flavor, and each one was so stale, and so hard, that I could not even bite it !THIS box had to be stale, or not stored in a proper temperature controlled environment. I do not know, but this also was so not typical for this brand of candy.

Deliciozos!
Many years ago, my nonna would give us these little boxes of torrone with portraits on them for Christmas. They were always one of my favorite Christmas candies. I never knew where she purchased them, and was never able to find them locally myself after she passed away. This year, I was looking for different ideas for stocking stuffers for my family, and I wanted candies that were all natural and relatively low calorie. These fit the bill perfectly. I'm not sure if these are the same brand as nonna's, but they are even better than I remember; they were really fresh and soft (no need to worry about your teeth getting pulled out lol!), and the different flavors were distinct but not overpowering. They are beautifully packaged too. For those of you who have never had good Italian torrone, it's somewhat similar to the white filling in a Snickers bar only it's 1000 times better as it's all natural. I would definitely get these again.

Not for me
This will be a very subjective review. These are a lot fancier than the store brand I bought and I can hardly believe I am saying this, but I actually prefer the simpler store bought ones.Out of the 3 flavors, I like the orange best and then lemon, last the vanilla. I think orange has the best balance, lemon is a touch too sweet and vanilla just outright too sugary. I prefer sweeter candy when I was younger, but not anymore. They came individually packed and carefully wrapped. I think it'll be great gift for some with a sweet tooth.

OMG! DELICIOUS!!
OMG! DELICIOUS!! This treat brings back sweet memories of treats from my Italian grandfather. La Florentine Torrone has only gotten better over time. Delivered in box of 18 individual boxes that are cute especially when given to children (they love the little boxes!). The Torrone is sealed in a foil bag inside the little box; keeps it moist and chewy. LOVED the flavors in the Assortment Box. I am buying more for my guests.
