I loved that they were already filled and that they had one golden egg included . Some of the eggs had fallen apart so had to put them back together but really a time saver for Easter.

I purchased these along with a box each of the outdoor hard-to-find and indoor hard-to-find eggs. These ones were more on the plain side but I liked the idea of a the golden egg. Unfortunately, the golden egg didn't have anything special in it. Not to say that you couldn't put something in it yourself, though, because there's that option! There were two flavors of nerds in this bag that I had not known existed, which were lemonade cherry and apple watermelon. Granted, I don't eat candy, but those two must be fairly new flavors. There was only one apple watermelon flavor and it wasn't even in the golden egg so I just switched the candy around a bit. The eggs come pre-filled and ready to go unless you want to add more to them, which is suggested for the golden egg since it was a bit of a disappointment.

Although not the most economical choice, these are perfect if you don't have time or energy to fill your own empty eggs. Also, the selection of candy is perfect for kids who have nut, dairy or egg allergy. I've bought these the last couple years for those reasons. There's nothing special about the content of the golden egg, but you can always add money or something extra to make the golden egg special. We hide two bags of these Wonka eggs and another 12 eggs we fill with money for our teen son, who still loves the fun of Easter. I am surprised to see the price just doubled from what it was last week, so I do recommend ordering in advance next year. For our needs, these are perfect.

Very quickly, you discover that the eggs follow the same pattern. The type of candy is coordinated with the color of the egg. The golden egg holds the same treats as some of the regular eggs; a box of nerds. The candy quality is fine and the egg quality is good. It's just that there is no excitement of discovering what treats might be in your eggs once you work out the pattern. These might be best for younger kids.
