I bought the 1/2 thickness and it is not really as on picture, there is no leather reinforcement along the spine. But it is enough for me. The felt quality is correct.

This pad has a split open center that is not like the picture online. It is shown with a leather piece down the center. That is totally misleading. The only thing holding it all together is a few inches of felt at the top and bottom of the center. I can see that the weight of a saddle and blanket on top of this pad would cause the pad to shift downward causing a show blanket or even the saddle fleece (if no show blanket is also used with this pad) to touch the horse's back. It is supposedly 32" X 32". When I measured it, it is nowhere near that in the center, and one side is 31", not 32". I needed something that would protect my show pad better. This was a waste of my time.

Not like the picture - cutout in middle and not cut out on sides for closer contact. The only thing that is accurate is that it is 1/2" thick.

Misrepresented yes split down middle would not have bought if I'd known. Will return

I’m using the pad for pressing my quilt blocks. It is working great, but haven’t used it much yet.

Not as picture shown! No cutout fender area and no leather on it. Plain cut with giant open strip down the spine. Disappointed
