Dan Post Men's 13" Anaheim Western Boot

I have a 9 to 9 1/2 size foot. I like the boot to be somewhat larger so I can add a sports insole to give more cushion. I also have a extra wide foot so I purchased the extra wide size. After adding the insole the boots fit fantastic using a standard thickness sock. For me the boot was slightly tight but after break them and it has a great fit. I also own a pair of Dan post Earp and these Anaheim boots fit more comfortably than Earp's. Keep in mind that the photo on Amazon is somewhat lighter than the actual boot color. It has a slightly darker gray look. Which I actually prefer primarily because gray goes with more colors than what would have been if it looked like the boot photo. The leather has an outer rough surface which I like. However, the leather thickness is thinner than my Earp's that may give extra comfort being somewhat thinner leather. Overall, I recommend this boot, feels great, looks great. I'm sending two photos to show accurately the color of the boot.

Wow! These may be my favorite boots. I have 11 pair of western style boots, mostly Lucchese boots. This is my first pair of Dan Post boots and I'm impressed. They are not as comfortable as my Texas made Lucchese ropers but have a nice, comfortable fit. I usually break them in with a nice thick pair of boot socks then add a low profile insole / arch support after break in and wear with thinner socks. Read some reviews that their pairs did not have the "distressed" look, and I ordered anyway. Thought it would be a nice gray color either way and I like the stitching on the boot. They arrived and my pair is exactly like the picture. It's like they finished the leather first, then scraped it with some type of wire brush. The color is grayish, looks like they're been worn a long time. I really like the looks and the color seems to be neutral enough for dark or light denim jeans.

Allow me to say this first, I have never owned a pair of cowboy boots in my life; this is my first pair ever. I wear a size 9 - 10 in footwear depending on the maker, I have other pair of boots that I run normally in a size 10 so I used that as my base for shopping. As I have said, I have never owned a pair in my life and I always wanted a pair (For versatility in my wardrobe). My first impression was great opening in the box, each boot was individually wrapped fitted with cardboard and paper to keep the shoes from premature breakage. Trying on the boots, they fit very well and make sure to read how its supposed to fit if you are a first time buyer. The tip of the boot is a little pointy, but that isn't a big deal with the right clothes. I like the distressed gray look of the boot and how it feels just walking around.Simply, Nice.

I bought these boots for my husband on our 35th wedding anniversary. He loves cowboy boots, but has always bought them second hand from a thrift store. He loved them, BUT, within only a few months, the toes started to wear thin, the soles are worn through. He has spent over $80 trying to get them repaired. I wrote to the Dan Post Company to ask if this was unusual. I was told to contact their customer service people (which is who I thought I was reaching out to) because they would need to make the decision if it was normal wear-and- tear, or something unusual. I honestly don't have the time to fight with anyone. I asked the rep who answered me if they could pass the message to customer service and have someone reach out to me. She didn't. I don't want to have to pay to mail in the boots, and then have someone deny me. In my opinion, that is pretty crappy customer service and I will not buy from them again. In the meantime, my husband will wear them until they completely fall apart (which won't be long), and then he'll go back to his thrift store boots

I've owned over 30 pair of cowboy boots in my lifetime and I've yet to find a better value boot than Dan Post. These boots fit perfectly (as always)and they look great with blue jeans. I've been looking for a pair of distressed grey boots for a while and was so thrilled when I found these. Loving Dan Post boots the way I do I had zero hesitation in purchasing this pair. I've gotten so many compliments on these boots it is ridiculous. The pic really doesn't do them justice showing their true color. They really are grey and look great with a pair of old jeans and a t-shirt. I'm so happy with these boots and highly recommend them to anyone that may be on the fence wondering whether to buy them. You just can't beat the quality and fit of Dan Post!

I rarely wear these but when I purchased them in 2/2015 it felt like a good deal.looking now I believe it was a very good deal..If the 2Es were available I would've opted for them and quite certain they would fit perfect.The XWs don't slide but I prefer a little more snug.The looks of these is great wife likes them and looking forward to gettin' them broke in and ready,,

For me,,,, the toe is to thin and flips up like elf shoe. Hate that part. They are not distressed like the picture. But they are nice quality. And a nice looking boot but If I saw them in person I would not have chosen them. Mine definitely aren't like the picture distressed and worn look.

Fantastic boots. They look sharp, fit true to size and are extremely comfortable. I actually sent the first pair back which I ordered directly from Amazon because the box was battered the boots had no tags and they felt like they had been well worn. I wanted a replacement but Amazon did not have another pair so they issued me a refund. I then ordered a new pair on Amazon from "Shopping Blitz" and they arrived in pristine condition in a brand new box. I would highly recommend these boots and Shopping Blitz!
