Risk Racing 77879 Truck Bed Mounts

Took a little engineering
Bought this for my husband's Honda CBF450R. We had the initial stand and plates Risk Racing Black Lock-N-Load Strapless Motocross Transport System installed in our little utility trailer which took him a little under an hour to install. I bought him an extra set of plates to put in our Dutchman Voltage 3895 toy hauler. That was a little more of a challenge. The issue my husband kept finding where these plates was that the spacing between the holes where the stand is supposed to bolt in was 1/8th too short. After a few minutes of looking at it, I suggested that we use one of the 3 holes as a reference and drill a new hole on the bottom. Admittedly, we do own a drill press and what I presume to be most of the hardware department from Lowes, Home Depot and Sears. Mike had the proper sized bit for the fine threads as well as the right size for the bolt. The whole endevour took him about 90 minutes because he measured and remeasured about 14 times. In the end, the holes on the plates lined up with the unit perfectly. Now onto installation.Installation really wasn't that bad. The issue we had was that our camper floor was thicker than the bolts that came in the installation kit. I should know by now that my weekend isn't complete without running to Lowes 4 times. They had a longer set of the same bolt and a few washers to go with them since they were now way too long. Subtract the Lowes run and I would say that the drilling and mounting of the plates took about 30 minutes with the two of us.It couldn't be easier to bring the bike up and lock it into place. I am so happy to not have tie-down straps all over the place in the garage of the camper. The plates are a little taller than our PitBull retention system, but not so much so that we would have to worry about removing them if we wanted to use the back for storage or a bedroom for company.

Adapter plates works well
I have a full size 2003, 2500 Dodge pickup with 8 foot bed - bed deck ribs are spaced differently than adapter plate predrilled holes. Just a little close to outside edge of bed ribs. The plates do work on this truck and if unconformable with provided drilled holes you could drill additional holes to mount the brackets to the center of truck bed ribs if you wanted - I used RIV nuts to attach bed adapters to truck bed and this application has held my KX450 very well - this application enables me to remove adapter plates from bed and reinstall them without putting or removing nuts, washers each time removed or installed.

Motorcycle loader
I really like my lock-n-load unit. I use the unit in the back of my truck, so if you're doing the same be sure to pick up the steel adapter plates. You don't want to go without them if your putting it in you're truck bed.
